Sturdy, Lightweight, and Incredibly Practical
The Cosco 5 ft Aluminum Type II 225 lb. Capacity Step Ladder has been a game-changer for my DIY projects and everyday tasks around the house. Weighing just 7.5 lbs, it's light enough to carry around effortlessly, yet it feels incredibly sturdy when in use.One of the standout features is the large platform top step. It provides a comfortable and stable standing area, which is especially useful during extended tasks like painting or changing light bulbs. The slip-resistant feet ensure the ladder stays securely in place, even on hardwood floors. The ladder folds up neatly, making storage a breeze, and the built-in project tray is perfect for holding tools or paint cans, minimizing trips up and down. Whether you're tackling a home improvement project or just need a reliable ladder for everyday tasks, this Cosco ladder delivers exceptional value and performance.

Superior Step Stool
The media could not be loaded. Unlike the majority of the other step stools with inflated load capacities that bend noticeably when stepped upon, this step stool is solid. There is very little to no deflection with 195lbs standing on the steps. I’m confident it can handle its 225lb rated load. The extruded aluminum side rails offer exceptional strength, support and stability. The top step is 33-1/2” above the floor and locks into place with a quick release latch for fold up. The fold up thickness is 4-1/2”, also the width of the tool tray that is 17” above the top step. The tool tray has a cutout for a 1-gallon paint can or 8” diameter wash pail. Now the best features. Advertised at less than 9lbs, mine weighed in at 7.6lbs, this is less than half the weight of the others you might see. The cost was lower too. Stop looking, forget the rest, this is a great find. You will like it too, highly recommend.

Good for what it is, but not worth more than $40.
I got this ladder to reach an… attic? (I don’t know what you would call those areas above your house you’re not supposed to actually go in, because they’re filled with insulation, because I’ve never had one before. I still store some empty boxes up there anyways.) Unfortunately for me, the actual ladder isn’t tall enough in terms of what you’re supposed to do… But I happen to be light enough that I can stand on the top part of the ladder (the tool tray, where you’re not supposed to stand), which is my only option if I want to reach the “attic,” so this ladder serves that purpose well.I’ve also noticed the price has increased a good deal from the 39.98 I purchased it at… So when I was looking for ladders, it was under my $40 budget. Most of the ladders that would have served my needs better were 10+ more than I was willing to spend, but since the price hike is comparable to those other brands, I would suggest getting one that matched your height needs better.PROS:-Lightweight, yet sturdy construction.-Takes up minimal space when closed.-When closed, I’m able to use it to hang clothes or empty hangers on, so it serves a dual purpose.-Slip-resistant treads on the steps.CONS:-Isn’t actually high enough for me to reach where I need to reach without stepping on the part of the ladder you’re not supposed to stand on (the tool tray).-Even on a level surface, I found the ladder to be slightly wobbly. Not enough to alarm me (it’s only a few feet off the ground, after all) but enough to be warrant some degree of caution.
