Better than expected!
I bought these for my black Randy Rhodes signature series Flying V. I initially figured they would make great novelty strings for a decent price. Once they finally arrived i put them on and WOW! These are great sounding. Something about the coating or the way they are wound just makes an amazing sound! I had Super Slinks on prior to these strings and it was just time to replace them. The strings look and feel a but rough at first and they look like the coating would rub off on your fingers. But i have spent the entire week shredding the heck out of some music and there is no wear or rubbing off in any way. I purchased the yellow and the orange and alternated them every other string and it creates an amazing visual effect when playing. One person commented that it looks like my strings are on fire.. I take that as a compliment to my playing but I'm sure most of the credit goes to the strings lol. I will gladly buy these again when the time comes and recommend them to all my friends. You really have to try them to see how amazing they truly are!

really vibrant
I bought this along with the Green strings for my Parker p-38 guitar. They sound alot better then the previous strings i was using, the tone is a little bit more solid and a little less twangy i feel. These will still be responsive if you are playing through a clean channel. Even in daylight these are pretty noticeable, but if you have a show as I did and you have the correct lighting, the strings will really pop out. This, like the green strings, look good under a Magenta light. It's nice having these, adds a little flair to your guitar.Recommended if you wanna try something that looks cool

Adds character
I have a lot of guitars . Most very high end and valuable fenders and Washburn older electric guitars and my newer ones I use I hang them on my wall and keep clean . These strings added that unique experience to just make the different and exciting again . I recommend them to anyone who collects guitars and wants to see the ability to customize a guitar without changing the original parts .

Pretty, But Not Worth The Extra Expense!
As both a bassist and guitarist, I like to try new strings every now and then. I bought a set of DR Neon Bass Strings for one of my Fender Precisions and was just blown away. They looked great and sounded great, too. So, I thought I'd try the DR Neon Guitar Strings, especially after reading the reviews here. I don't know if DR had a bad production day or what, but my experience was not even close to the other reviewers. I bought two sets of .009's, one yellow, one green, for a Les Paul Goldtop and a Les Paul that is Emerald Green. Just wanted to try something different than Ernie Ball Strings. Well, I'm here to say it again, "Balls Are Best". The coating was gone after one session in the studio and I really couldn't tell a difference, soundwise, between the DR Neons and Ernie Balls. Plus, they are way more expensive for one set of DR Neons than a set of Ernie Balls, Gibsons, Fenders, or any other number of strings. I've got to remember that more expensive doesn't necessarily mean better. If you're just needing great sounding guitar strings, I'd stick with Ernie Ball, Fender, Gibson, or any of the rest of the many brands out there. Sorry, DR, but I won't be buying these again.

more coolness from DR
I have been using DR strings for years and,the new Neon series is just more coolness from DR. The coatings they use increase string life and are tone neutral plus I really like the way they look on my nuclear yellow Kramer Barretta.

Dead in hours!
I was so excited about these strings. When I got them, I couldn't wait to use them. I put them on my guitar, drove to the gig about an hour away. Pulled out the guitar and the strings were completed dead. I had no choice but to play the gig with these awful strings. They became almost completely inaudible and even a few people in the crowd complained. Most of the coating flaked off on to my guitar to add to the embarrassment. Unacceptable and I am returning them. Could not give them zero stars so I over rated them with one star
