Garrett Proformance DD Search Coil, 8.5inx11in, ACE Series 2222000

I'd about had it with my barely used Garrett Ace 250. All I needed it for was finding parts I loose in the garden. I was getting fantom noises if any, and not finding a thing. Then I decided to try this search coil. What a difference. The stock coil must have been defective because this one is night and day better. Right away I found a clevis pin that dropped and was rototilled under. It centers easily and responds well to settings. It found washers, a specialty nut from my tape measure dropped in the grass, and other metal objects I didn't know were out there. Glad I decided to give this coil a chance. Maybe some day I'll try coins.

Only had a chance to use it once. It’s a little heavy but makes up for it in great target separation and leaves no doubt where to dig too.

The Garrett 4.5" Sniper has been great for pinpointing the hard to find coins and buttons in an area full of iron that I detect. It's a good tool to have in your bag when you're out hunting!

Looks like exactly what I wanted with the exception of the broken mounts.Returned & Re-ordered. Can't wait to put it to use.Addendum to this review: Received the replacement today. All Good ! I haven't had the chance to use it yet in the field but all signs are that it is going to be a asset. No Hassle Return/Replace.

I have a Garrett ACE 300 and I bought this coil as an upgrade. It definitely works better and is far more sensitive, finds deeper, and does better discriminating. It plugged right in exactly like the original coil and was ready to go.

I have an ACE 250 detector with stock 6 x 9" elliptical coil that I've used for years to hunt my yard. A fair test of this coil was to see if I could start finding coins again at a depth beyond my stock coil. So far so good, in my first trip around the yard I found more coins than the last month of looking with the old coil. I won't put numbers to the increased depth - ask three people and you'll get three different answers. The bottom line is this coil works better for me than my stock coil and I am happy with it.

Bought this as a replacement for the stock elliptical coil on the Ace 300. Significantly more accurate and provides deeper range. Ran over areas I’ve already detected previously and continue to find additional things I initially missed.
