I ordered more than one used copy of The 5 LOVE LANGUAGES from Amazon. All arrived in short time and were in even better condition than as sellers represented. Clean enough to offer as gifts. This book is a MUST for any newlyweds as well as us old married people so we can easily "figure out" our spouse, know what needs to be done to truly understand how the other wants love, gives love, and interprets our love. All based on 5 basic types of individuals we are, judging love by which of the 5 "love languages" we use. Excellent book. Will order more copies as need arises, like as a wedding gift, or to any couple seeking a successful long-term relationship, or for a single person seeking understanding of what they want in a solid relationship. Good for home-based marriage therapy as it is easily digested by a couple working thru the book together. The edition that has the quiz at the end which helps each person prioritize their own love languages, is particularly helpful.

This book is awesome for ANYONE. Not just people getting prepared for marriage, or in a marriage, but anyone who has any kind of relationship-- which is everyone! This book gives great insight to our relationship goals and makes our differences known, which if known, can avoid some hard conflicts that could arise. It's a valid point to know your friends and loved ones love language becuase you will have a lot of awareness of certain behaviors. This book was a condition for a family friend to marry my fiance and I and it's the best recommendation anyone could have given us!

If you are interested in learning how to more effectively communicate with your significant other or want to understand yourself better, then this is a phenomenal book. This book helped me better communicate with my girlfriend (now wife) and has helped us better understand one another. An awesome read!!

This book is simple and to the point. My fiance and I identified the portions that pertained to our own personalities, tore them out, and gave them to each other. We have been showing love to each other in ways the other perceives it, not the way we like to show it. It's been wonderful!

I have read a few marriage books and this one, BY FAR, is the best. It really explains how to love someone by a simple understanding of their primary love language. My husband read this and I swear I have never felt so loved!!!Everyone I know who has read this book loves it.

I'm on marriage #3, which by all research and statistics is doomed to fail.
