Everybody should have one in their home
This is a 10 lb fire extinguisher, meaning that there is 10 lb of dry chemical powder inside of it. And ABC type fire extinguisher, it is good for most types of fires except kitchen grease fires. It will put out a lot of burning paper, moderate amounts of burning wood or furniture, and can be used on gasoline or diesel fires. You will not get shocked if something electrical is on fire.Probably a 10 lb extinguisher is overkill for a house, but better safe than sorry. If this won't put the fire out, get out of the house and call the fire department!

Great to have one in your house
We recently had a small fire in the garage and I had one of these at the time eliminated the fire very fast very efficient.I was impressed how it suffocated the fire and just a matter of minutes.Needless to say, I ordered another one shortly after we use that one up.Also, these are rechargeable fire extinguishers. So now I have several in the house, one in the garage one in the kitchen one downstairs.

Looks easy to use, and a bigger size.
Thankfully I haven't needed to use the fire extinguishers at this point, but I'm glad I ordered a couple. Its very important to have a few of these in the house. These were reasonably priced and a bit larger then others that I have. They came the next day! They also provided a hanger for them but I have not installed those.

Quality Fire Extinguisher. Easy Installation
I recently purchased this fire extinguisher for my rental property, and I am happy with my purchase. It met all fire code inspection guidelines, ensuring I'm compliant with regulations. The included mounting bracket is a game changer—it's simple and not bulky, making installation a breeze. Now, I have peace of mind knowing my rental is safer for my tenants. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enhance fire safety!

Saved my home!!!!
I actually had to use this in a recent emergency garage fire (3x4 and spreading) and BAM!Ripping it open from the box in my drive way and being the first time ever using a fire extinguisher and voila, the fire was out before it spread while 911 was on hold!!!!!Fire was out before the department arrived because I bought it to have control, took control, and this is a product and brand I now trust immensely!

Hose was loose
Looks good, but I was surprised that the hose was loose on 2 of the 3 I ordered. You can't just use a normal wrench to tighten either, I had to use my bike cone wrenches.

No problems noted
I wanted to address several negative issues that were voiced by previous customers. Specifically, the "loose" pin that is removed to activate the handle AND, the wall bracket. Here's what I found on the fire extinguisher I received. The activation pin is held in by a small plastic break-through line that keeps the pin from inadvertently falling out. In a fire emergency, the pin could easily be pulled out and doesn't need to be cut to activate the extinguisher. Yes, if you cut the line, the pin is not a tight fit. You don't want it to be a tight fit. Some reviews had mentioned a "cheap plastic bracket". There is a very stout metal hanger that is included with the fire extinguisher. It has two verticaly oriented screw mounting holes(screws not included). The hanger should be mounted against a stud, in an open and easy to get to location. The exteinguisher weighs almost 9 lbs so do not use molly screws/bolts, toggle bolts, or anything that just uses the sheetrock for support. There is also a plastic ring that holds the rubber nozzle in close the extinguisher body. You slip it on from the top and position it to hold the hose nozzle close to the body.
