It counts!
This review is for the CGOLDENWALL High Precision Digital Accurate Analytical Electronic Balance Lab Scale Laboratory Industrial Weighing and Counting Scale with Counting Function CE 0.1g (10kg, 0.1g).I've had this scale for just over a month now, and it works well. The instructions are a bit lacking, but that's to be expected these days. I initially was looking for a decent capacity scale with good resolution. This one is the 10 KG (22 LBS) model and my bathroom scale can handle heavier stuff.I'd also recently received couple thousand bullets for reloading in a bulk box, and was thinking that weighing them out might be easier than counting by hand to share with friends and such. Turns out the counting function of this scale works great. It made the bullets easy, and I've gone on to use it to count my 'retirement fund' pocket change. To use the pieces feature on this scale (6-digit model in the instructions)1) Level scale using the bubble and four foot screws. Plug in (I haven't tried batteries yet) and turn on. Wait for self check to finish.2) If using a container (or baggie), place empty on scale and press [TARE] to zero.3) Put 10 of something in the container. ([MODE] will switch through the different weight units but doesn't matter for piece counting)4) Press [PCS]. "10" will show on the display as the default. Pressing [PCS] again will increase the count by 10's up to 100, while [TARE] will decrease.5) Press [ON/OFF] to confirm 10 pieces.6) Now take a piece off the scale and wallah, it reads 9! So cool. Grab another handful and you're off to the races.I've verified that starting with 10 pieces will be accurate to 100, then once you hit 100, reset the pieces process using 100 count and then it's good up to 1000. The smallest pieces I've done so far are dimes... so your mileage may vary.Pieces mode will exit by pressing either the [MODE] or [PCS] key, but get's stuck at grams so turning Off then back On gets the other weights back.Don't forget about [TARE]ing for the empty container. One of the quart freezer bags that I'm using weighs exactly the same as a quarter. That would only short you one quarter, but it would throw the dime count way off -- especially by the time you get to 1000. To get the count in the photo I had to [TARE] for five quart bags and one gallon bag -- then set pieces with 100 bullets + 5 quart bags + 1 gallon bag -- then throw the whole caboodle on for the 500 count. :) Or, you could just use the scale without a container, but what fun is that? -Dana

Outstanding product!
I designed, constructed, and ran a barley fodder growth experiment at the Biosphere 2 with CO2, light, temperature, relative humidity, and wet biomass recorded for 10 days. All data but the biomass were automatically captured with digital monitors. The biomass was recorded manually, once every 8 hours. Therefore it was imperative that the digital scales be a) accurate, b) highly sensitive, and c) consistent such that at no time could the display sleep or the scales reset, else we would lose our baseline from which we monitored the growth rate.Three of the four scales performed flawlessly, displaying values withing a few grams of the other grow beds, all of which were initiate within a few grains of barley from each other at 800g each. The fourth was off by a roughly 100 grams a few days into the experiment. My concern was that the discrepancy would be non-linear, but instead it held constant which implies a forgotten calibration, not an issue the scale itself. The only overall issue I have with these scales is that each comes with a battery compartment, enabling them to run without external power. However, if powered-on from battery, they will not switch to A/C power. And if powered-on with A/C, they will not fail-over to battery. This seems like such an easy thing to enable for the ultimate lab scale, yet this is not the case. So, we ran entirely from A/C wherein our A/C power source was itself on back up power (which did in fact save the data twice in the ten days run).Overall, I highly recommend this product, from packaging to easy of use to implementation in the lab.

Broke after less 2 months
Tried to contact seller for a refund but no luck. Hundreds place went out so unreadable. On top of that ALL measurements (5g-1kg) wont stabilize and the entire scale will just turn off mid measurement. This is a HUGE inconvenience when your weighing/mixing ingredients. DO NOT BUYWhen I contacted support they told me to take the batteries out and clean it. I use it plugged in (i.e. no batteries). So this clearly is not the issue. They wasted my time with how to clean it with rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip and then informed me that this was sold through a 3rd party and they could not help me any further.
