Works on mine
Fit my 1999 5.0L EFI Mercruiser engine. Cured MOST stalls. I’m not totally sure this was the culprit of my docking stalls but that said, It fit perfect. There is a noticeable difference in my stalls though, much less at idle speed. 5 stars for me..

Works for Gen VI Mercruiser Horizon MAG MPI Engines
Perfect fit. We'll see how long it lasts in a saltwater environment, but certainly did the job of smoothing out my idle.

Position of Plug Connection for Wiring Harness
These engine"idle air control" valves are made with different positions of the plug connection during assembly. Essentially the valve is installed within the mounting cylinder which has two asymmetrical tangs, then assembly is pinned with a fixed position of the plug. This item will work on a 5.7L MEFI3 TBI Mercruiser, but requires the use of a pigtail to reach the plug position. Complicated, to say the least. This plug connector points up which may make it susceptible to moisture. My OEM pointed aft. Found an alternate source at much greater expense for the correct IAC. The three star reflects this problem. Engine won't start or idle without a working IAC. The new IAC valves have a metal stem on the valve plug vs. the OEM plastic, which breaks.
