Self proclaimed rotating stand pro...
Background: Rotating tree stand connoisseur. Have rotating stands dating back to the early 70's still in use in my home. Every tree simply must have a rotating stand. Period.Note to first time buyers: tree size is a key factor in purchasing a rotating tree stand. The majority of rotating stands work fine for trees up to 7/7.5 feet. Anything larger and you will encounter issues & shortened life span of your stand.I'm basing this review on how the stand performs with a 9.5 ft pre-lit 2500 light count tree. The stand height puts the lowest tree branches of my tree at approx 1 - 1.5 ft off the ground. Pretty standard. I will be building a base to help raise it another foot or so off of the ground (rotating tree = ornaments snag on packages under the tree). This stand is metal. All of it (minus the tree "trunk" size adapter). It has a good amount of weight to it. I did NOT use the adapters. The tree fit into the standard base with a little downward wiggle and pressure. First time I've never had to crawl under the tree to tighten any screws. Major points there. My tree is perfectly vertical. No lean. Again, first time I've stood back & NOT been frustrated that the top is leaning to one side. Major points there.Stand has 2 outlets built in around the trunk area. Not enough outlets for me. Ideally, 4 would be nice. Not a deal breaker for sure, but a nuisance when you are working with 6-10 plugs. I used alot of zip ties. The power/rotate switch is on a decent length cord. Another couple of feet of cord would have been nice. I realize that most people don't put trees in the center of a large room. But c'mon....it's a rotating tree stand. You're going to want it far enough away from any walls so that it can actually rotate. More power cord length seems like it would be a given. The fuse is built into the switch box. Makes for easy replacement if ever needed. Unscrew the fuse & screw it back in & the tree changes rotation direction. Here is my #1 biggest issue with this stand.... there is no way to separately control the lights & the rotation. It's 1 switch that only controls the rotation. You plug the power cord into the wall outlet & the lights come on. You use the switch to turn the rotate on/off. You have to unplug it from the wall to turn off the tree lights. Mind. Blown. Only stand I've ever had that doesn't have 2 independent switches for lights & rotate. Even after all the positives, this one thing will make me look for a different stand in the future. No, I did not remove any stars for this because I realize that this is a personal preference. But I feel that it is a pretty important feature to be lacking. So, to sum it up: Good quality, smooth rotation & multiple trunk size compatibility. Lacks additional power outlets in the stand itself and the ability to just control the tree lights.

Worked with all 4 Balsam Hill trees I own
I love Christmas. I love it when my trees rotate. It makes me happy. When I was a kid, our neighbor had a rotating tree and I loved to watch it turn in their window. The lights twinkled. I wanted our tree to turn so bad. I begged for a tree that spun. My Mother said they were tacky. TACKY. I personally think she was to cheap and didnt want to decorate the back of the tree. But, I digress. 20 years later and some therapy....I now have a total of 4 trees that spin at Christmas. (In your face Mom).I read the reviews on the Home Heritage stand and it made me scared to order. Many people were saying it did not work with the Balsam Hill trees. But, I didn't have a choice, I took a chance. My new 9 ft BH tree was leaning in the old base from last year. I was afraid to decorate it since it looked like it was going to fall over. I have never had this problem before, but, my other BH trees are 7.5 ft trees. I think the added height and weight was just to much for the stand (even though the box said it could handle 9 ft and 80 pounds).I currently have 4 other tree rotators ranging from $39.99 to $60.00. They are the kind that the "legs" remove for storage. I can't tell you how many times I made the naughty list trying to put those things together or dropping one of the legs on my foot. Do yourself a favor and shell out the money for the Home Heritage one. I will be replacing my others too. This rotating base is that good. Why?*It has a wide base.*It was much taller than the other bases I have. I think it supports the pole better.*It is made in one piece and it is sturdy. No assembly required.*It has adaptors that will fit 4 different poles. (*Some of the reviews said that the adapters were not in the box that they got. I have to assume that someone lost their adapters when they put up their Christmas stuff last year, ordered a new base, took out the adapters. and returned it. The one I got came wrapped in bubble wrap with all attachments.) It also said it would take 5 days to deliver and I got it in 2.*You don't need a tree skirt. It is nice enough without one.I have had 4 BH trees over the years and they all have a 1.50 trunk. Yes, I checked using the adaptors sent with Home Heritage base.2020 has sucked enough already. Don't make it worse by having a boring Christmas tree that just stands there. Make that sucker spin like a ballerina. (Albeit slower or the ornaments would fly everywhere.)The pictures are of the Red Home Heritage base and the 9ft tree. I should have taken a picture of it leaning, but take my word for it it was. The picture of the green base one of the base the 9ft tree was leaning in. It worked fine on the 7ft tree but I will be replacing it soon with a Home Heritage too. Also don't judge the second tree. I havent had time to shape it yet.

It works!
Back in the day,....in our Christmas shop, we had to use actual turn tables to set the trees on. It got a little exciting some times when the kids tried to pull off an ornament...:).I really like the way the stem of the tree slides into the coller and down into the stand. Very sturdy. The spin has a nice steady pace with out any hesitation. Not like the old turn tables. I got the brown one that was more expensive than thew black. I haven't figured out what the difference was except price.I needed it before thanksgiving, cause after turkey we throw the switch for the Christmas decorating frenzy. Any way I only gave them 2 days notice and by golly it showed up the day before thanksgiving. As one retired business owner to another......not bad....not bad at all. Thank you.

Excellent sturdy base for your standard Christmas Tree
This is the third time I’ve purchased this stand for my Christmas Trees. They are wonderfully sturdy and unlike the cheaper models, the legs don’t fall off if you move it around. They are quiet and turn slowly and evenly. My only complaint if you can call it that is that the trees I bought are modern so the adapter I use is the correct size, but the trees themselves don’t have a pointed bottom so they don’t fit fully to the bottom of the inside of the stand. This causes them to wobble. It was fixed with some tape wrapped at the bottom of the tree to snug things up. Not a problem with the stand though. Considering getting a fourth for next year and will buy this again.
