Good as an introduction
This book makes for a very readable, self contained introduction to the subject through clear examples. As the other reviewers have pointed out, it does not go very far. But, given the price you should not be disappointed. I am told that the majority of day to day operations research can be handled with just the contents of this book.

Good
This book makes a good supplement to any O.R. book (example, Taha or Hillier). It is NOT meant to be a standalone course book. Readers should use it as a problem solving supplement. Overall it is well written and makes a useful manual for suppplementary material.Readers wishing to obtain a book to use as a standalone manual are recommended to consult books authored by Taha or Hillier.
