Starts working in MINUTES! Worth every penny, it WILL kill pretty much every flying insect and attracts them very well.
For two whole months now I've been dealing with a nonstop phorid fly (often confused with fruit flies but have black eyes, not red like fruit flies with curved bodies, don't waste your money on vinegar traps like I did because they don't work on these with the black eyes) infestation that seems to be coming from behind my apartments somewhere, possibly a dead dog or cat or animal feces.I was at my wit's end, I'm sitting at my computer trying to game or just take care of work and I couldn't go more than 10 or 20 minutes without having another one of these tiny flies walking on my monitor and then flying in my face trying to get into my eyes, mouth and nose as they're attracted to moisture because that's what they like to breed in so imagine having to worry about bugs trying to go into any hole in your body to lay eggs in you on a daily basis. This was extremely annoying and infuriating after several weeks of putting up with it.I tried rice vinegar which I had around the house both by itself and with dish soap or laundry detergent and that did nothing. Bought apple cider vinegar and not even one fly was caught after a whole day but I just found out these are actually phorid flies not fruit flies so that's probably why. They seemed to really like my mango juice I had in a cup so I tried putting some of that in a cup with a little soap for them to drown in but that proved very ineffective as well strangely enough. Then I finally had enough of it and forked out the $35 to get this baby here, the Liba Bug Zapper. Within a FEW MINUTES of me turning it on I heard a single very loud SMACK sound (like when you're frying something on the stove with oil and you're getting those loud smacking sounds of the oil cooking or imagine someone slapping their hands together to make a really loud sound one time, that's what the zaps sound like). I went over to my new bug zapper and something had been cooked alright, I saw one dead fly body lying on the collection tray. I was ecstatic! It really works! All the great reviews I had been reading for several days were right! No fake reviews here, that's for sure and now I know that for sure after using this AMAZING bug zapper.I've had this zapper going for just one day now and my phorid fly problem is solved! Now that's not to say I don't have any flies coming into my house anymore, they still come in regularly because really the only way to eradicate these things completely much like other pests is to eliminate the source, their habitat, where they're laying the eggs and reproducing. But in my case I'd just not rather go through all that trouble of going outside and investigating because I live in a pretty rough area and that wouldn't be a good idea snooping around in these parts, glad I'm moving very soon. Now the flies that do come around don't even bother with flying on my monitor or my TV screens like they used to. They just go straight to this bug zapper and die! When you see the product description saying the zapper is highly attractive to flying insects they mean it, this is a literal statement. They don't come after me OR my computer monitor anymore, they seem to LOVE the lights in the Liba Bug Zapper and prefer that now which is fine by me and one of the reasons why I love this product so much. It's very easy to setup, you just take it out of the bubble wrap, make sure to read the very short manual that just tells you about the warranty and safety information then you just place it where you want it, plug it in and let the insect cooking begin! Just make sure not to place it in any 'cramped' areas, put it somewhere it can just sit or hang by itself because this thing definitely packs a punch when things get zapped and you don't want your kids, your pets, yourself or anyone else getting shocked by it from touching the bars on it that have electricity running through them.I like how you have the two black rubber grips to hold onto if you need to move the product while it's on or if you just turned it off and want to avoid touching the bars at all costs (which I think you should do). And it also has comes with two extra bulbs as well, very generous of you LiBa. The power cord for it is also a generous length as well which is great in case your power outlet isn't as close as you would like it to be, if you're placing it on top of a counter or something and the outlet is near the ground like I am.One suggestion I would make to further improve the product is possibly some 'stands' or just something, anything to ensure there is no chance at all for the zapper to fall or topple over easily when it's sitting on something and you're not hanging it. I use a sleeping mat that I put on the ground and I have the outlet that goes to the zapper next to my feet and I have to be very, very careful that I don't get my feet tangled in the wire and have the zapper fall over and shock me or other things and possibly cause a fire if worst comes to worst. The zapper is pretty lightweight which is a good thing but it can easily fall over with not too much force being applied to the power cord which is a potential safety hazard. Or maybe some kind of mechanism within the product to make it automatically shut off as soon as it starts falling over or is in a bad angle and not standing straight up on it's feet. But just be aware everyone, the zaps are in fact very loud when these pests are killed so be prepared for that. This is good because it ensures the insect will die and has no chance for survival but I will tell you right now, if you live with other people they will hear it in other parts of the house. Had to explain what these loud popping sounds were coming from my bedroom haha But it's worth it if I can have the peace of mind knowing it's doing it's job and a great job at that and I don't have to deal with these flies any longer, this zapper takes care of them for me. And don't worry about having other light sources in the room that may be competing with the zapper, the zapper has everything covered, LiBa did such a great job on this product, the insects will go straight to the zapper and pretty much ignore the other light sources 99% of the time, the UV lights on this are very, very bright and attract them very well. All in all, this is an excellent product, it was worth every penny. Thank you LiBa for making such a great product for the world and bringing it to us here at Amazon for all of us to enjoy. You've relieved so much unnecessary stress from these bugs I had bothering me on a daily basis you have no idea. Now I am at peace once again.I had my doubts about this product, I was skeptical but not anymore, I was wrong. Also added a few pictures to show whats happened after only a day. And this is just having it in my bedroom, it would've caught tons more in the kitchen because it catches every single fly in the bedroom. Those pieces you see outside of the zapper are actually insect body parts I'm assuming due to some of their bodies exploding hahaha

Worth every penny
I absolutely LOVE this bug light! It's my favorite purchase in quite a while because I hate bugs and this gets rid of them effortlessly, without odors or chemicals. We placed it by our houseplants and keep it on 24/7. There is NO hum, just a "zap" sound when it gets a larger bug.The light is bright (i.e. effective.) We actually find it useful as a night light in our kitchen/living area. You would not want it in a room where you were trying to sleep. The amount of bugs evident in the tray shows how well it works. Seriously. We didn't even know there were that many bugs flying around. We used to have gnats in our houseplants; they're GONE--so much so that I want to start an indoor herb garden. We also used to have these tiny crawling/hopping bugs (not fleas.) We had them for years every time the weather got warm. Last summer and this year, we haven't seen them. I can't remember the last time I found a product that was this effective and easy to use.We have had it for 1 year and didn't have to use the replacement bulbs (that it came with) until just a few months ago. I will definitely be ordering more bulbs because this HAS to stay operational.

Worth every penny!
A week ago, I had visitors who kept coming in and out and let a few flies in. In Southern California I’ve rarely had any trouble with bugs..until now. I was gone all day on Saturday and was not prepared for what I was about to walk into. There had to have been at least 100 big, black house flies maybe more! There were only a few that morning, so not sure where they all came from. They were mostly in my kitchen, but another bunch were hanging out in my bathroom and the creepiest ones were all over my pillows and bed. It was disgusting! Of course, I didn’t have a fly swatter, so I improvised and got pretty good at snapping a kitchen towel at them. However, I also broke my favorite mug and a pretty vase and knocked a couple pictures off the wall. I put out a bowl of honey and a bowl of vinegar, but they didn’t come near them. I caught ZERO flies with honey! I spent two hours trying to make a dent in them-it was like a plague or something! In desperation I googled how to get rid of flies in my house and this was the first and best zapper that came up. I ordered it at 1:30 a.m. and it said I’d receive it between 7 -11 a.m. Sunday morning (just a few hours away)-amazing!Next morning there seemed to be even more. I did discover that if I opened my wooden, kitchen door, that they loved to cling to and rest on the screen door. I took advantage of this and would periodically fling the door open and they would all fly away. Within minutes, more would cover the screen again. I actually got rid of a large number of them, that way. When I still had not received it by 11:000 a.m., I checked my email, only to discover the card they’d automatically used had long been expired, so it had not been sent. I corrected that, but of course now I wouldn’t get it until 6 pm the following day. I left to get some food (no way was I cooking in that!) and Lo and behold, there sat the bug zapper on my doorstep! Felt like a miracle! All I had to do was take it out of the box and attach the chain (be careful as the metal clip fell off when I was opening the bag, and you’ll need that to hang it up). They recommend placing it up high, so I hung it off the cabinet door knob. I was a little scared I might get zapped myself, but so far, so good. I can’t believe how quick it’s worked!!Within minutes I about jumped out of my skin, when the first fly made contact! It sounded like little Black Katz fire crackers. The rest of the day and evening you could hear the steady snap, crackle, POP * * *I turned it off during the night, as I wanted it to cool down before touching it, as some reviews talk about getting a shock if it wasn’t fully cooled down. In the morning I slid the little tray out and just emptied it into the trash and wiped it down. You’ll also find that some of them will somehow wind up underneath the tray. Still others will pop right out of the device, so be prepared to find many in the surrounding area. They definitely are attracted to the light. The pings are strangely satisfying. I’ve lost count of how many, but in 1 and a half days, I went from the stuff of nightmares, to zero flies! I know many reviews said it quits working right away, so I hope they’re wrong. But just this one time use would be totally worth every penny! Tomorrow I’m lending it to my next door neighbor, as she’s had a similar swarm in her apartment. Thanks for making a great product!
