t we lost the original remote then when we found it, it wasn't working. Luckily after taking the batteries out and conmpletely powering off the TV and restarting everything it worked again but it was a terrible feeling so I decided to buy a 2nd remote for just in case and because we have a long couch so there's one on each side (lazy I know, LOL). I shopped around and they were all well over $20. I found this one and bought it right away because even if it was terrible it was cheap and worth a try. Well I have to say that we use this one much more than the one that came with the TV, we'll probably even buy another! It's not bluetooth like the one that came with the TV but that just means you need to be in line of sight of the TV which is no big deal for us. It does NOT have voice comand button or microphone, but we never use that anyway. The multicolor dots button on the right is replaced by a button labeled EXTRA which serves the same function. The VOL & CH buttons are black instead of silver but they feel like much better quality (more clicky and firm than the original). Under the VOL it's missing the label CC/VD and at the bottom of the remote it doesn't have the SAMSUNG logo. So those are the only differences and I would not pay the difference in order to have those additions to the remote. I would rather have the less glossy more tactile much cheaper seemingly higher quality plastic and buttons remote. If you need a replacement Samsung remote buy this now and you will not regret saving all that money!

I don't know why I waited so long to find a similar remote to replace my original Samsung one. I bought a universal remote to use for about $12 but it's just not as good. I found this and couldn't believe the price of only $6.50! Eh, why not? I decided to get two, one for my 2016 Samsung that came with this style remote, and one for my 2020 that came with the newer style with 100 buttons that no one can stand.Wow! They are awesome! It's just like the OEM one from 2016. I always loved how simple this remote is. The buttons are in the perfect arrangement and it has only what's needed - power, volume, channel, home, back and the direction wheel. Use it in the dark and without looking at it with no problem. It does have the 123, extra and play/pause buttons I don't use but they're not in the way.The ONLY negative of these non-OEM is the 'click' you hear when pressing the buttons. The original was very quiet. I can't see taking away a star for it though. I'm so happy to have this style remote again, at such a great price AND one for each TV!

I have several different model Samsung flat-screen TVs in my house, and they all use what appear to be the same small remote controller. My new puppy decided that those remote controls were fun to chew, and he has destroyed three of the original remotes. I needed replacements, but there are many different ones to pick, and I was not sure which one to buy. In the same purchase, I bought this one and two other remote controls made by other manufacturers to see which one worked with my TVs. The remote controls made by the other manufacturers only worked with one of my TV models, so I returned them.This remote control worked with all of my different Samsung TV models and perfectly replaced my original manufacturer remote controller. The only thing that is missing from this remote controller is the voice-control button, which was not a big deal to me. Because it worked so well, I purchased several of these, one to replace each destroyed original one and a couple of extra for the future.
