Fits Skil brushless jigsaw well
Much like my Skil circular saw, my Skil brushless jigsaw came with a slot for a rip fence (guide) but no rip fence was included. Unfortunately the circular saw slot is much larger than the jigsaw so the rip fence I bought for that saw did not fit the jigsaw. This guide was a cheap option that fits the Skil jigsaw well without too much extra space. The screw that comes with this guide did not fit the Skil jigsaw threads but that's no big deal as I had some hardware laying around which did fit.

a great find at a great price
i have a old ryobi jigsaw-considered obsolete when i tried to get an edge guide for it from ryobi.after a whole lot of searching i found this item/company on amazon and decided to give them a try--just great--well made and most importantly it fit perfectly--no wiggle-no play between the slide bar and the guide slots. easy to read too. what also helped was reading other reviews- especially one that gave the slide bar dimensions.

Fits Ryobi P5231 Jig Saw
Fits Ryobi P5231 Jig Saw. Does not fit Ryobi P505B Circular Saw.

Loose fit in my Ryobi Jigsaw. Could not use it with any accuracy.
I have a cordless Ryobi Jigsaw P5231. The opening for the edge guide in the jigsaw is too big and squareness is hard to get. Also there are no attachment screws that came with my saw OR the edge guide. Disappointed.

Works With the Ryobi P524 Jigsaw, But Will Need Separate Screws
Fits well into the channel built into the P524's housing, however the single screw that comes with the guide does not fit/thread into either of the holes. You'll want to pick up a pair of M4x5mm thumb screws (the holes are in an annoying location on the housing, and hard to turn using a driver) to secure the guide properly.

Could have been a 5...
What did I like? I like the very legible white markings on the black background and I like how sturdy the products seem to be.What did I use it for? To keep my Ryobi jigsaw in a straight line. What did I not like? I did not like the fact that the set screw provided with the tool to lock it into position on the saw was the wrong size. It was supposed to be a metric M4-.7, meaning 4 mm in diameter with a length appropriate for securing the guide on the saw. The screw that was sent with it was an M5 which is the wrong diameter and it wasn't long enough to even touch the tool if I had been able to get it into the hole.Without that screw being correct, the tool is totally useless.Fortunately, Home Depot had the screws I needed, so I selected the M4-.7 10 mm long. I tested those screws in the tool holder at the front of the saw and they were perfect. They were also black, and being so small that means they are easily lost. So I grabbed a small jar of model airplane bright white paint and painted the top edge around the Allen wrench socket so it would be easy to find.Drives me nuts when a supplier can't match the appropriate fittings to the tools.

Fits Ryobi Jig Saw JS481LG (corded)
Fits perfectly into my corded JS481LG jig saw.As noted by other reviewers, the two slots in the base of the saw measure 5/16” wide by 1/8” high. The arm of the guide slides right into the slots. The required screws were NOT included, but two Metric M4-10 screws from my bench stock worked perfectly. Phillips head, not thumb screw, but they are the correct thread size and length for my jig saw and hold the guide arm firmly. Importantly, with the guide removed, the -10mm screw length bottoms firmly against the floor of the empty slots and do not vibrate loose during saw use.I measured the distance from the guide side of the jig saw blade to the outside edge of the guide side of the saw base and the scale on the arm corresponded exactly to my 6” rule. This suggests that the guide is (also?) designed for straight cuts.

Doesn't quite work, at least on my slightly older Ryobi.
Bought this for a Ryobi 501, which is almost exactly like the slightly newer models listed in the descriptions. As I've found with Ryobi before, they don't stock accessories or replacements for long, and they change the designs slightly but frequently. I guess we're supposed to replace all the tools every few years. This edge guide looks like it would work fine if it fit -- and maybe it *does* fit this year's model. But for the P501, it's slightly too thick to go into the opening for it. And if it did go in, it's slightly too narrow, so won't keep itself straight/square. It has a very nice distance scale, that seem meant to be at 0 when the guide part is under the base and right next to the blade -- that is, very nice if it weren't off by about 3/8" (again, maybe it's right for this year's model). Ryobi, if you're not going to stock parts, then don't change the dimensions without a good reason.
