Tape is sticky, black background not distracting, silicone well bonded
I received an apparently factory new package after returning a completely dead strand (see below) -- this one worked great right out of the bag, every LED is operating on all colors. The tape looks well made, is easy to solder to, and is as bright as any other 2812B strips I've used (ie: blindingly bright at full power).60 LEDS/meter is pretty dense and casts a very even light on surfaces.Alitove contacted me when I returned the dead strand to amazon and immediately offered to send a new one.----------Original review:I set up the standard arduino strand test (800Khz), none of the LED's functioned. Connecting another string of NeoPixels to the same pin and 5V power supply show the usual test patterns on them. Poking around with a scope the data signal never makes it to the Data Out pin of the first LED -- the signal is present on its input pin.I tried cutting a handful off hoping it was just a bad chip up front, but I couldn't find any working chips, all acted the same and were not displaying nor forwarding the data in to data out. A handful of them lit up in green when 5V was applied.Returning for a refund, will try another brand.

Excellent strand
The media could not be loaded. Really quite good. Using an Arduino Pro Mini to control them, and a 5v DC power supply to drive them and the Arduino. All 300 LEDs light up to high brightness at all colors even powered from only one side of the strip.

Excellent "NeoPixel" LEDs
These are 60pixel/m LED strips (the 300 pixels for 5m rating can be a little bit confusing). This density is a good balance between the even spread of the light and the cost per length of strip. Higher density strips such as 144/m aren't really necessary so long as you have a good diffuser around the strip. The strip is not self-diffusing, but does include a clear rubber weather coating. For outdoors uses that might be good, but know that if you're trying to cut the strip down to smaller lengths and solder onto the pads at the end of each junction, that coating can be frustrating to dig away with a scalpel. Non-coated strips may be preferable in that case, and this company also has several products which are not coated. My strip came nicely wound around a plastic spool, and pre-wired for connecting to standard 5v power supplies. And because the WS2812B is "NeoPixel" standard, you can control this strip using your standard Adafruit libraries in Arduino with 5v logic. In the attached photos you can see I used an Arduino Nano powered in parallel to several cut lengths of this strip in order to create a Saturn V rocket display, using standard libraries.Overall- good value, easy to use, and a good density of LED chips for even lighting.

Just over a month cracking, turning yellow and shorting out.
Got these in January this this year and installed 2 16' rolls in March. As you can see from the picture the top is piece left over compared to the bottom that has been has been installed they have already turned yellow and the silicone covering them has already started cracking which has several lines already shorting out. When I first installed them they were great but 2 months later here we are a waste of money and labor to install. Just after a month being installed but purchased in January so the return of 30 days has expired.

Gets the Job Done Well
Bottom line: Would recommend to a friend as long as they buy mounting clips to go with it because the adhesive sucks.Aside from the Adhesive being absolute garbage for hanging on to the back of my TV, the lights are good. They are not as bright as my Hue strip on the back of my other TV, but given that these run on 5V and cost about a quarter of the price, I am happy. They are still bright enough to see during the day and add a nice color effect on my TV. I hooked these up with a wemos d1 and the open-source WLED driver code and bam, my TV experience was improved.

Decent, but some questionable choices have been made
Overall, these are decent LED strips. I do have some concerns, however, about some of the choices they've made with these. The LEDs themselves are quite nice, and even with the added resistor, I find them to be plenty bright. The waterproofing makes the strip look a bit more finished than some similar products, and they're still easy to cut to size. I appreciate that there's no included controller and I can easily bring my own microcontroller. For some reason, instead of using name-brand adhesive, they decided to use "WE" adhesive tape. (If you flip that 180 degrees, you can get a good idea of what brand they should probably have actually gone with.)The JST-SM connector seems really nice at first, but if you look at the datasheet for this connector from JST, you will find that it is only rated to handle a max of 3 amps. According to the product description, all 150 LEDs can pull a max of 6 amps. I'm no electrical engineer, but that seems like a bit of a problem to me. They do provide additional wires to connect 5V and ground, and it's probably much safer to use those to connect up power and just use the JST-SM connector for control.

Great lights and value
The media could not be loaded. Awesome set of LEDs and not a bad price. Of course you can get them cheaper elsewhere but you would have to wait wayyyy longer to receive. I used these lights in a drone racing project and it came out great.
