Excellent replacement
The peephole insert for my entry way door knock snapped. This replacement fit perfectly and I love that it has an inside cover. The original peephole mechanism did not.

Easy peasy
Drill the hole the right size and screw it in. It gives a good view of the outside. Be warned that in rainy weather it will fog up for a day or two and then dry out where you can see in it again.

Quality peephole with an inside cover
Exactly what I wanted- a peephole with a cover. Installation was easy- works great.

Easy installation
It’s solidly built, easy to install, and has a great field of view. It fit easily into the existing hole and only took a couple minutes to unscrew the old and place the new one in. Cover has enough tension that it stays open or closed when swiveled. View is much wider than my older smaller one without requiring drilling a larger hole. Glass is clear and sharp.

High Quality
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this peephole. It actually has some heft to it (I think it is made of solid brass). I needed a peephole that would fit my thick door and this one fit the bill. An added plus is the peephole cover. I didn't think I would like a cover over the peephole, but I do. I would HIGHLY recommend this peephole.

It was OK, but it came backwards. You can see into the house, but not out.
When it came in the mail, I followed the instructions. I drilled a hole into the door and put it in.IT WAS BACKWARDS.Since it works out OK, coming home to look into it to see if my wife is already home, I'm just going to leave it up. Sometimes, I'm just not ready to face her after a long day, and if I see she's there, it gives me the chance to go back to my car and wind down. So, thanks for that.If she complains enough, I'll get another one and place it in the opposite way so that I can see outside if that is ever needed.I'll just put the one right below the other - Best of both worlds.
