Omg, wow! If only I would have known
Never used these before but I doubt I will ever use string againThey cut amazing and so different as they are sharp compared to string so less resistance for the cutter to knock things down, think like cutting soft butter, you feel resistance to some extent when cutting with string, and you will know what I am talking about once you try this productWe have a lot of thicker like (tree shoots) I guess here (maybe 3/16") and there so I tried them, it will cut them like a saw I guess, because they are somewhat hard and fibrous, you let it do the work and can take a couple seconds to go through, really not intended I don't think for those ones exactly but it will do it,But for thick green heavy grasses and weeds, unbelievable, game changing! And you don't have to waste time replacing string!I will be buying some replacement cutters (blades) so I have them when needed but I just cut all kinds of stuff on our 1 acre yard in Colorado and it should last a very good amount of time, as it still looks great

Soak the Blades & Use Blue Loctite
Soaking the blades for 24 hours in water keeps them from breaking. Using blue Loctite keeps the screws in place. Other reviews said the screws were plastic. As of June 2024 it appears Echo fixed this and my screws were metal and had aircraft nuts. I still used blue Loctite and let it cure for 24hrs.This is not a replacement for a string trimmer. It does very well at thick field weeds. Does okay with woody saplings but a metal blade does better. While it can cut lawn grass, not as good as a string trimmer. I bought this to cut field weeds on a steep slope. I hit the ground several times and hit some rocks and the blades did not break.

Completely worthless
Bought this thinking it would tackle some blackberry bushes, boy was I wrong. Basically tickles the the thickets stems until the weed wacker bogs down. Don’t waste your money, invest in a high quality string and you’ll get better results. Also is not a plug and play with the SRM210. I needed to add a washer and reuse the original nut to make it work.

Exactly what I needed
This works great for thick brush if you don't have decent machinery. Someone in another review mentioned soaking the blades for 24 hours before first use. I did that as well and the blades have held up way beyond what I expected them too. I'm pleasantly surprised I haven't broke them yet. I've put them through hell. The only struggle was getting started. This didn't fit clearance wise on my echo weed eater even though it claims it's universal. The blades made contact the with the safety guard once up to speed. However, with a little fabrication it works great and I didn't have to sacrifice any safety aspects. If I end up breaking this, I would buy another.*6 month update* I've never abused a product so much and it not break. Still works great. I would have thought plastic would have cracked or broke by now. May need new blades soon but still using the originals. Well worth the money.

Overall Good Product
The Pro Maxi-Cut for Echo Line Trimmers is fairly easy to install using the enclosed instructions that came with the item. The trimmers did a good job of cutting through long grass and small diameter vines and weeds. The nylon cutters seem to stand up well during usage. I am careful when cutting around any wood or metal fence posts and also around any metal or wooden fencing. I also ordered a package of 12 replacement blades to have on hand for any future blade replacement as needed. These blades make my grass/weed trimming go a bit faster than when using the regular cutting line.Believe that this is a good product and I would recommend it.

Does ok.
I think metal blades would be better.

Product Reviews.
Put the product on a 14 year old ECHO SRM 225 machine. Took 10 minutes to install. The product worked perfect for what I was doing which was weed eating a 1/2 acre overgrown lot. The product mowed it down like butter!
