Battery mower sharpener
Works well to sharpen blades on ECO battery mower. Blades sharpen quickly and stay sharp.

Good for touching up hand tools in the field.
Performs like any corundum stone. Wears kind of fast if you're trying to reshape a thick bevel, but for machetes or other hand tools that just need touch up it works great The shape and length is quite useful.

Best tool dharpener
This stone works. Others like it that I bought do not work. The Lansky & the 'carborundum' cut little if at all & clog right away. This Norton cuts fast, does not clog & does not wear away nearly as much as other stick-shape tool sharpeners I've tried. It is like a carborundum stick I bought decades ago in California. I still have pieces of it & they still work wonders.

What a Great Idea
This stone is a great idea. I have many Norton sharpening stones of varying grits, but they are all rectangular shapes for sharpening knives. They are not meant for carrying in a pocket for sharpening garden tools such as a scythe or machete. This stone fills the bill perfectly.Just in case Norton is listening: It would be great if you could offer a plastic belt sheath to carry this stone. That way we could fill the sheath with water and have the stone on our belt, instead of in a pocket. Such a sheath would only cost Norton a dollar to make, but the value to customers would make a perfect set.

Inexpensive and it worked!
The stone was easy to hold and easy to use. It produced a fine sharp edge on everything I tried it on from pocket knives to lawn equipment. Great value.

Decent sharpening stone for garden tools.
I ordered this sharpening stone specifically to keep my scythe blade sharp. The key to keeping the stone effective is to dip it in or keep it in water to keep the stone from clogging. I suggest the manufacturer supply a holster with a belt loop that can hold water for storage of the stone between sharpening sessions.

Easy to use
This is a small hand held sharpener that you can carry with you in your pocket. It works perfectly for small sharpening jobs like on the fly sharpening of pruners or loppers. One side is smoother than the other and the pointed ends are helpful when sharpening hard to get spots on your tools.
