It works
I mean if your only problem with this Chromebook specifically is the operating system that is used on every Chromebook, because this is your first time using Chrome OS, then your opinion is probably irrelevant, yet there are several people leaving 1 star ratings for the best, albeit overpriced, Chromebook available, because they didn't know what they were buying. Typical.I've used Chromebooks exclusively since the first gens specifically because of their simplicity. I use them mostly for Google Drive applications, and watching YouTube. I've wanted to have a pixel book since they were first released, but I never got one due to the price. This one was on sale for $299, so now I have one. My first Chromebook was Samsung, then Acer, then Toshiba, then Asus. The Asus was supposed to be the nicest Chromebook out of the bunch, second only to the pixel book, and by a large margin, so let's see...Black boarder around the screen is very large. Also the screen is less wide than normal. Seems cheap. The keys are much easier to press, which I prefer; this was my biggest concern honestly, crunchy keys make me cringe. I have been dealing with this crunchy key Asus for five years. The mouse pad has far less grip, which i also prefer, but I'm not sure how much of the grip on the Asus is due to its age. I know it is clean. Overall the feel is much nicer, but the screen is just ugly.So far it seems like an overpriced Chromebook that has better performance than is required for the Chrome OS system, or for this screen size. Basically what I expected. No way of telling that it's refurbished so far, but there's no way of knowing what the next one will be like I guess. I paid $299, probably still overpriced, was supposed to be $899 LOL. As long as I don't run into issues, I'm satisfied. Can't wait to see how much writing I get done now.

Surprisingly Excellent Product
Having a Google Pixelbook for work when they first hit the market I tried to purchase it from work when the lease was up but could not. So browsing on the Amazon site a little over a year ago I found this model and an i5 model with twice as much storage but by the time I pulled the trigger and purchased, this was the only Google Pixelbook I found available. (Although I did receive an Asus Chrome book from work although I found it to be too large and bulky). The Google Pixelbook shown is remarkably as close to excellent condition as they advertise. I was apprehensive a bit reading the negative reviews, and a couple of pics that were posted I would have been disappointed in also if it had been shipped to me. But as of now, could not be more pleased with the product. Time will tell concerning battery life, but so far it is about as good as my previous unit I had for work. Also I found funny someone posted the video of their purchase and mentioned something about the keyboard flashing when trying to use. It appeared that was normal, because the Pixelbook will flash just as the video showed when the battery is low. This is the i7 16GB memory with 512GB drive.

Battery was dead on arrival and will not boot when plugged in
I ordered the Pixelbook sa refurbished. Upon arrival I plugged it in with the included power adapter. The battery status light was red immediately when plugged in. However it remained red for 10 hours and the laptop failed to start up to boot. In addition, the backlit keyboard would flick on and off like a strobe light. The condition of the laptop had some scratches and dents on the back of the laptop. It was not what I call good condition. This is the first time I ordered a renewed laptop. I do not know why they did not test the laptop before shipping it to me. I requested a replacement but they changed the delivery date twice, almost a 2 week shipping. I canceled the replacement.DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!

It's convenient and Really Light
I just needed something I wanted to do light videos editing with, so I bought this. I was disappointed though because it can't do 4k videos. It will do 1080p though. I use lumafusion to do that. I carried it anyway, and now I carry it everywhere. Makes it easier to do things I don't want to do on my phone. Good battery life, I can still use lightroom app on it. It's not the PC version, so don't look to merge panoramic pictures or anything crazy. Video quality is great. If google ever makes one with 4k capabilities, I'm all in. Unless the price is too high. This one was a refurbished one.
