Fixed the chirping! No more setting off alarms while cooking!
We needed to replace 6 smoke set in our house that are hard wired. When 1 goes off they all scream! One was defective and kept chirping then another would start. Finally I ordered this set. They were easy to install with labeled wiring, come with long battery life and is nice to have a smoke detector that comes with covers to use while cooking. I have not had to cover the one closest to my kitchen and nothing has set it off like the last one.

Best value on the market.
The smoke detectors are a great value. Best value on the market. We have a hard wired system and it can be quite costly to replace all of the smoke detectors (we had to fail in the five years since we bought the house and then all of them were needing to be replaced. We switched everything out). It is a really small price to pay for peace of mind and family safety. As far as volume nobody’s gonna sleep through these ever.

easy to install
at a very good price, they were pretty easy to install, they replaced ones that were on the ceiling, so we had to use a ladder, but other than that they were easy to install, I put it off purchasing them because I was afraid I would get something that was hard to install, our old smoke alarms were going off in the middle of the night, so nice to have peace of mind.

No more waking up in the middle of the night
Replaced 6 older style smoke detectors, getting false alarms, so basically unplug and plug new one in. Yes turn off the power first. The design is actually nice looking for a smoke detector. They have a soft green LED light which is visible thru the small opening which makes it easy to see if it is working. I have one up on a cathedral ceiling which needs a ladder to get to. Used a 10 yr battery in that one, we'll see. Instructions included if your starting from scratch but probably want to get a professional installer (electrician).
