This would be a 5 star device if it were not for the heavy setup tasks.Unlike other Anbernic Linux based devices which are pretty much "plug-n-play" these days, the android handhelds require a MUCH longer setup if you want to get the most ouf of them.KNOW THIS BEFORE PURCHASE! You will WANT/NEED to watch some youtube videos on how to best set android based emulators up for maximum enjoyment.It takes many many hours, but when done correctly you will have an AMAZING device that crushes nearly all games from all platforms from Atart through 6th/7th Gen consoles (PS2/Game Cube/Wii and lower)You will be downloading and manually configuring emulators for what feels like a life time, you will then be choosing your favorit "front end" like Emulation Station Desktop Edition or Daijisho (my personal favorite). Again, when it's all done, you'll have a purpose built emulator for all of your favorite classic consoles.The icing on the cake is that this is also an amazing game streaming device for PS5 and Xbox Series X!This would be a 5 star device all day if Anbernic would get their "out-of-box" experience on par with their other linux based devices.Also, it might be worth mentioning that this isn't a pocket friendly device. This is the type of device you sit down for long sessions at home or while on vacation. It's not going to be your EDC (Every Day Carry) device. For me, my EDC is my trusty old and reliable Miyoo Mini Plus.Finally, the build quality, screen quality and sound quality are AMAZING!If you want to get a high performance retro emulator that also runs Android 14 and will give you all of the benefits that go with Android, then this is for you!
