I guess I’m what can be described as a technophobe. I have been known to come out in a cold sweat when faced with an unexpected online problem and have to rely on my son to help me. However, having initially asked him what he thought I went ahead and ordered this thermal printer. It arrived very quickly and, eager to see if I could print out tickets I had for an exhibition, I had a look at how to set it up. I found the app easy to download and, more to the point, I actually was able to print off documents myself. I want to primarily use this for printing off tickets, boarding passes and insurance documents for holidays. I don’t like relying on my mobile phone and want the reassurance of having the documents printed off to allay my fears. I had so far found the printer a breeze to use, features easy to identify and the functionality excellent. I’ve not had to recharge it yet but have identified a plug which will make it easy to do. The battery life has been excellent so far as I’ve printed off about two dozen documents and it’s still going strong. All in all I thoroughly recommend this printer and the best thing is no costly ink cartridges to buy. Okay the thermal paper may be a bit more expensive but the benefits far out way any negative.

I’m really impressed with the Polono Thermal Printer D810. It was incredibly easy to set up and use straight out of the box – printing my first document took just minutes. The printer is compact, efficient, and produces clear, professional-quality output.The images accompanying this review show the printer inside its protective case (purchased separately) and also the very first printed item it printed. Both demonstrate just how user-friendly and reliable this device is. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a hassle-free thermal printer!

Nice and compact which is important for us to use while travelling. The printer charged up quickly. First use was a bit tricky as a pdf didn’t quite print properly but adjusted the settings and tried again with a Word version and it’s come out excellent. Not noisy as such and definitely worth the price I feel. Comes with a few sheets of continuous paper to get you going.

The D810 is not as good as originally thought after a week of constant use and a few issues regarding the print quality I had high hopes but just not anywhere near as competent as a normal printer system.Also I had to return the first one due to a damaged box which actually looked like it was already opened.Second replacement was also a damaged box, unsure due to shipping or how stored prior to dispatch.The companion app is user-friendly which you need to use to print from your mobile, laptop or tablet.Make sure to buy quality thermal paper to avoid jams (but that’s true for any thermal printer).

It's smaller than I imagined,very portable.suitable to carry it to go to anywhere.It’s excellent that no need consume ink, the normal printer ink always expensive. This machine will cut my ink expense. For loads study materials, this is the best alternative choice.The connection is easy ,after linked to app,load the paper, then it’s done. The print results is clearly. The only thing is black and white print only.

Bought the printer as it comes highly recommended on Amazon and at a very reasonable price. I wanted to see if I could find a thermal printer with a higher resolution than the Phoneno printer I use currently.However, it becomes clear, very rapidly that this printer is really aimed at document printing primarily. The app offer virtually no ability to alter the image in the software. Some simple options to alter the density of the print and to crop the image. But I could find no way to resize the image in the app or print multiples to the same page. Either these options simply don’t exist or are buried so. At into the app as to make them useless.I printed a couple of simple images to test the printer. These came out fine, but certainly no better than prints I get from the Phenomo. I tried a deliberately high density grey scale piece and the printer just failed to print the image at all. Admittedly the Phenomo would struggle too but at least it would print something. The D810 simply didn’t print at all.The build quality of the D810 is great, it’s incredibly simple to use and I had no problems at all finding it on my iPad via the Bluetooth connection. Adding a wireless dongle to add the printer to desk top PCs is a nice touch.If you’re looking for a slim, light weight document printer this is definitely one to look atUltimately though, for the use I intend it for, it simply isn’t up to the task and I’d urge other tattooists to save their money and look elsewhere.
