TP-LinkNetwork RE200 AC750 WiFi Range Extender Dual Band 750Mbps with 802.11b/g/n Retail

My house is a faraday cage wrapped in wire to hold the rock finish on, making it hard to get a signal outside on my porch. I installed this unit inside about 40 feet from my router, now I get full Wifi on the porch and beyond. Very simple to setup.

Full disclosure, I have only had the unit for a day. However, many of the negative reviews I read on TP-Link range extenders focused on set-up difficulties. Mine could not have been easier to make operational. I followed the instructions and it works perfectly. I am using it with a Motorola 2879-FA modem, which is a newer unit. I din't know whether older units may not pair as readily. For me, it was less than 10 minutes from opening the package to 4-bar signal at the opposite end of the house from my modem.

The unit performs as advertised. Although I would classify the set-up procedure as unusually fussy for a product such as this. I was able to get the thing up, running and tested in various locations around my house in less that thirty minutes. If you do order this item, be sure to follow the set-up procedures on the TP Link website as the printed instruction booklet is deficient in detail and apparently out-of-date. Five stars if the set-up issues were fixed.

Plugged it in.... The green light came on...Yippee Skippy Wi-Fi for the whole house!Seriously tired of paying for Wi-Fi and not being able to get it in our bedroom on the TV since it’s at the opposite end of the house. This product corrected that problem!

This product did not work for me. I tried to return it, but we had to bring it to a UPS center and we don't have one anywhere near us - 45 minutes away! With CoVid and riots going on, we are unable to make that trip. Stuck with a product we cannot use.

I loved how easy it was to set up, but it wasn’t strong enough to get to my second bedroom so I had to buy a Google 3 piece. That was much harder to set up but works.

Extended my Wi-Fi to use the TV outside worked easy easy set up

I plug this into my whole outlet and it helps to send the signal around my fireplace which always blocks my signal. A great addition for extending my Wi-Fi in the house.
