The ignition switch arrived overnight, well packaged, and undamaged. The man said to write this: the switch has a start position for those who have review saying that it doesn't. The problem is, there is no way to shut it off. He said that he will take time one weekend and fix that problem.We have a CAT generator RP7500. All OEM parts are currently out-0f-stock and on back order. He said that if you need your machinery running, then get this because it works just needs to be modified. He said, "I can always find a way to shut it off. Getting it started is something very different!"He's an airplane mechanic who self taught small engine & car repairs. Good Luck!UPDATE: AFTER complete installation (and not just placing into the spot) the part works perfectly! NO MODIFICATIONS needed to be done! It has OFF/ON/START positions and there are NO problems installing. Simply plug in. Ran like a watch and turns off. AS STATED PREVIOUSLY: WE HAVE A CAT generator MODEL # RP7500 for anyone who has searched all over like I did and cannot find OEM parts. They are on backorder. My husband said this is exactly what we needed and no modifications had to be done.

Plug was backwards

I had to replace the starter switch on an older model portable generator and this replacement switch was a perfect match. The installation was quick and easy, plug and play. It works great and the price was the best I could find anywhere.

Totally deceiving description six wires should have a on off and start positions but it is only a on off switch . Do not buy from this guy he needs to put a proper discription on his ad .
