Kingston 8GB DDR4 2666MHZ SODIMM

I have an earlier model Synology DS420. Can confirm that the 16GB stick works, despite lack of official support/confirmation from Synology.

Installed it in my Synology 420+, i was worried cause it's a bit older and wasn't sure if an older model could fit it. Thankfully, it worked great - easy installation followed by immediate improvement of performance.Considering the many reports of other sticks being incompatible, good to know there's one you can count on

I snagged this since I had seen in the Synology forums that people claimed more RAM would increase file copy speed. Since my Synology was already running on a 10GB link, I thought I'd give it a try.But going from 4 to 16 did absolutely nothing. So it was a waste of money for me, but the memory itself was fine and recognized instantly. It was the NAS that was the letdown.

This is a great product, especially for the price. I have ordered these memory chips multiple times for the PCs that I build for customers. They work great, especially with the Gigabyte motherboard.

booted right up in a Synology 423+, no errors

Works good, running VMs in a Synology DS923+ . This helped free up a lot of RAM for the VMs. I am usually very particular and only get Crucial RAM, however Crucial does not currently have a verified RAM for this model. The Synology RAM modules are very expensive, so I decided to give this RAM a shot. Time will tell how the RAM holds up and I intend to update this review at a later date.

I bought memory before and my laptop would constantly freeze so I bought Kingston. My laptop is a whole, different animal now and works beautifully. Will not go to another brand.

I bought this to upgrade the RAM in my Synology 423+ NAS. It can be picky about the ram it uses, but this was an immediate success. This is the RAM you want if you want to upgrade your 423+
