Q: Does this battery need to be calibrated?

I bought 2 of these batteries for 2 separate laptops. The batteries have worked fine and the life is certainly better than the old batteries that were replaced. I fully charged the batteries per the instructions. Initially the charge life was not correct and showed more life than there actually was remaining. However, over multiple charge and discharge cycles, the percent charge gradually became more accurate and now seems to be correct.

Q: Wire part is two inches longer than original battery , so I had to squeeze them,would that be a problem in future?

2 inches is excessive. You don’t want to bend the cable too much.

Q: Did anyone else noticed that this battery is slightly thicker than the original? I installed it on a mid 2010 Macbook Air and now the case is bulging!

Mine was thicker on one side. I returned it because the cover would not close.
