He then tried to activate the one in my phone and it worked perfectly fine. Don't trust error messages
Seems that most of these reviews are from people who have no idea what they're doing. I actually got sent two of these instead of one. Put one in and the phone got an an error message saying the card was unrecognized/unregistered. Thought they weren't legit. Called VZW customer service. The first rep I talked to checked both cards and wasn't able to activate them or verify they would work or whatever. Transferred to tech support. The tech support rep went off of what the previous rep said and was just going to send me a new card. I then asked after he placed the order if these cards were specific to phone manufacturers, and he said no, as long as it's for Verizon and the phone supports nano sim, it should work. He then tried to activate the one in my phone and it worked perfectly fine. Don't trust error messages, and never trust the first person you speak with when calling customer service. By the way, they can and will send you a free SIM card if you request it. I just needed one quick, so I got this.As far as customers getting micro instead of nano when ordering this, why would you write a review of the card if you got the wrong one. That's an issue with the seller, not the actual product. The cards I received were completely legit and worked in my phone (HTC One M8) that requires a nano SIM card.

Worked great to activate a previously owned iPad Air on Verizon Prepaid.
I recently purchased a lightly used iPad Air Cellular off ebay. When it arrived, it had a Verizon Sim card already in it, however I could NOT activate the device on Verizons monthly prepaid service using the card. I called customer support and then looked up the card number, told me it was previously activated on a Verizon post paid account and could not be converted for use on a Prepaid account. So I asked if I could purchase a new nano SIM and they told me i'd have to go to a verizon store to get one. Having dealt with Verizon before, I decided to call the local store to see if they had the nano Sims for sale. They said they are not allowed to sell the sims without and accompanying device. So off to Amazon I went and found just what I was looking for. If arrived in a few days, I popped in my device and hit the View Account button in the Cellular Data settings menu. It walked me through the process of setting up a new Prepaid account and off I went. One side note I will add here is that Verizon told me you have to be connected to WiFi during the initial setup process. I was, so I had no problem, but if you do, that might be why.

Didn't work properly
Waste of money, for me..The item received was as described. It was a nano card, and fit perfectly into my Nexus 6p.My phone, however, never worked perfectly on Verizon's network. Specifically, I could not get simultaneous voice+data working (the setting wouldn't even show up), and I had issues receiving MMS messages. I spent a long time troubleshooting and was close to concluding that it was a phone issue, until I decided to try a new SIM card, just to see. I went into a Verizon store and they gave me a free nano-SIM, I swapped it out, and all of my issues were instantly gone.I have no idea what it is that made this card not function properly, but it was definitely a waste of money and a huge time sink trying to troubleshoot.Don't bother with this, and just walk into a Verizon store and ask for a SIM. 99% of the time, they will happily give you a new one for free.

Worked well for me
I bought the sim card on Amazon for a Verizon 4G smartphone sold to me without a sim card. The card cost nine dollars. My old phone had a micro sim card, so I was not able to use it when I switched phones. After reading comments on various Internet sites from Verizon Wireless customers who were charged for the sim card and activation when they got sim cards through Verizon Wireless, I decided not to buy the card from a Verizon Wireless store, or from the Verizon Wireless web site.Unlike some of the other people who wrote reviews here on Amazon, I had no problems at all with the sim card. The card I received was exactly as shown in the picture on Amazon, and I activated it on my existing Verizon Wireless account through the Verizon Wireless web site. All I had to do to activate the card is install the card in the phone, log in to my account, select add/replace device, and follow the step-by-step instructions on each screen. I was asked for the IMEI of the phone in which I would be installing the card, and the ID number printed on the sim card. After finishing the steps on the web site, I turned on the phone, and activation began. The entire activation process took about five minutes.

I'm sure it works fine, but it will not allow you to use ...
I'm sure it works fine, but it will not allow you to use a gsm phone as a cdma phone (ATT to Verizon). This is no fault of the card but if you read the enough reviews you will see that some people have posted that any Iphone5 will work with Verizon with the right sim card. Not True.
