Good Support
I used two of these on a Mac with an OWC Thunderbolt 4 dock and dual 27" QHD screens. Works at 1440p@120Hz zero issues (HDR also works). My monitors only support a maximum of 180Hz which these cables have zero issue with.

Built for power users chasing flawless 4K/8K output — but not for casual USB-C setups
If you’re after a USB-C to DisplayPort cable that genuinely delivers on cutting-edge performance, this Cable Matters VESA Certified 40Gbps USB-C to DP 2.1 Cable is the real deal. It’s made for serious users—gamers, creatives, or professionals—who have the right hardware to push high refresh rates and resolutions and need a stable, spec-compliant connection to match.Build quality is excellent. The cable feels durable without being too stiff, with good strain relief at both ends and just the right amount of flexibility for routing through a desk setup. At 2 metres, it’s long enough for most scenarios without degrading signal integrity, which is important at this bandwidth level. In terms of performance, it ticks every box: 8K at 120Hz, 4K at 480Hz (if you’ve got the display and GPU to drive those specs), and support for things like HDR, HDCP 2.2, and surround sound. There’s no visible image loss, no flickering, and no colour compression — everything is sharp and fluid. I used it with a Thunderbolt 4 dock and a high-end gaming monitor, and it ran flawlessly, even during heavy use.One very important caveat: this cable only works with USB-C ports that support DisplayPort Alt Mode. It’s not a universal USB-C to monitor cable and won’t work with things like portable monitors or standard USB-C ports without DP Alt support. Cable Matters is upfront about this, but it’s worth repeating — this is a specialised cable for a specific use case.If your setup qualifies, though, the value is excellent. Compared to other DP 2.1 cables—especially ones with certified bandwidth like UHBR10—this one is priced fairly and does what it says without drama. I wouldn’t recommend it for general-purpose users or as a generic monitor cable, but for those with high-end hardware, it’s a worthy investment.Outstanding performance and build for the right setup, but overkill (and incompatible) for more casual or generic USB-C use.

Great for phones and new motherboards
This generic USB-C to HDMI works great to connect a phone or new motherboard to a monitor or TV.The generous 2m cable is just enough to be of practical use, and the cable itself is hard wearing. It isn't quite as flexible as I'd like, and for almost £20 I would have expected braided rather than just plastic coated. It works flawlessly with a phone however, and also with a new motherboard (which no longer seem to have HDMI ports for some reason) to get a seamless connection out.Overall, a good solid cable that does the job.

Working great!
I have a variety of cables from Cable Matters and i've not had a problem with any of them so far (touch wood!), and this cable is no exception. It's well built and sturdy, and connects solidly in my laptop's USB-C port. It's working well to provide an output of 4K 60hz to my monitor, without any sign of quality degradation or latency problems. This cable requires the input source to support Displayport Alt Mode (DP Alt), so make sure your kit supports that as it won't work in just any USB-C port. I've made this mistake in the past.Working well for me though, and i'm pleased with the results.

Top Quality with excellent display cable from Cable Matters - USB-C (thunderbolt) to Display Port!
Top Quality with excellent display cable from Cable Matters - USB-C (thunderbolt) to Display Port with exceptional display with crisp and vibrant colours!Truly excellent USB-C to Display Port 2meter cable and fully what I expect and have owned before from cables from Cable Matters. Each cable that I have over purchased and owned has always been worthy of the 5 star rating.Excellent materials and build quality, excellent connector ends to ensure exceptional video display quality at the highest standards and just seem to last years and years. When I order a cable from them I know it will be rock solid.8K at 120Hz, 4K at 480Hz display resolutions (and downward compatible.40Gbps data bandwidthSupport HDCP 2.2, Display Port 2.1 specifications, HDR colour depth. The source device must be connected at the USB-C connector and the monitor is to use the DisplayPort connector. (One way setting). For myself, when I need the best video cables I look for one they make. An outstanding display cable that is worth a search and order.
