APC Surge Protector with Telephone and DSL Protection, P8T3, 2525 Joules, 8 Outlet Surge Protector Power Strip Gray

I don't normally write reviews, but felt I had to for this item. I have a home studio with a mixer, 8 track recorder and drum machine that all have bulky power supplies. They all fit nicely and don't cover the other outlets. The cord swivels and is 6 feet long making placement in a cramped area a dream. It also protects against 2,000 plus Joules (the specs on amazon have it listed lower but this is wrong). I had a similar monster strip that was 5 bucks more and had less protection. I will be replacing it with another one of these. Look no further. This is simply THE BEST!!!

Product works well and having a nice long cable was a huge bonus since my wall outlet is a bit far where I have my computer. The extra long cable allows me to keep the surge protector away from my feet and accidentally switching the power off.

One of the best surge protectors I've brought. I love how the cord is attached to the body and how it can pivot, really makes it neat when hung against a wall. Also the built in dust covers are nice compared to Tripplite Isobars which requires a crowbar to remove the dust covers, these just slide easily.Guess the real way to test it is to wait until there's a surge of electricity and see if it does its job, though I feel confident it will.

I purchased this surge protector to protect both my electrical components such as my DSL modem, phone, etc. It does well for those appliances and has flexibility for regular electrical plugs, three-prong plugs, and power adapters. However, I also wanted to protect my modem's DSL line from surges as well. Unfortunately, it supports only two-conductor RJ-11 connectors, not the four-conductor RJ-11 connectors that my DSL line requires. I returned the item and am looking at CyberPower surge protection power strips that support 4-conductor RJ-11 connectors.

Simply put, APC's line of surge protectors sold via Amazon is the best value on the market. Smart design, heavy duty construction and as their slogan reads "legendary reliability". It should be noted that, like other purchasers, the protectors I received have a higher Joule rating than what is indicated in the product description. In my case, all 4 protectors I received are rated at 2770 Joules -- a nice and unexpected bonus.

Saves my electronics

The outlets are spaced perfectly to accommodate multiple wall warts. The construction is sturdy. Haven't had a surge yet, so I can't speak to its protection ability, but at least the physical layout and construction is better than expected for the price.

Broken down in one (1) month of use.According to the reviews, it probably is a good product, but I may have received a defective unit.
