Not what you think it is!
Well, I was duped! As a consumer, I was indeed scammed and I'm so disappointed! It's not any bigger than a hot wheel.Unfortunately, it's not worth the effort to send back. But next time, I will take more care before ordering! I'm sad!See top right side of box for dimensions. Ugh!

Delightful Toy from Disney's Planes
Our nephew was so excited to receive this toy from Planes. It's his favorite Disney movie/show. When we were at Walt Disney World this past week, he searched every store for this plane. Since Planes was released over a decade ago, none of its merchandise was in the parks or at Disney Springs. We found this on Amazon. He got it yesterday and is thrilled. It's well made and the price was great! His family travels a lot so it's just the right size to take on trips too.

Dusty found
Dusty is very hard to find for children who just discovered Planes the movie. It is nice to find a cast metal toy.

Is it used?
It appears used, didnt come in a box, paint scratches and defects. Not worth 17.99. I'd more like 4.99 tops.

It actually seems fairly sturdy
I put off buying a die-cast Dusty based on previous reviews, but our 2-yr old grandson loves Disney’s Cars and Planes. We got him a set of die-cast Cars vehicles, but Lightning’s wing (spoiler) which is plastic broke off in a week. But he still likes it so much that our daughter says he’s got it in his hand when he goes to bed. So I thought he would really like Dusty’s but there are more things to break.Because I found a Dusty at a discount rather than the $17-20 it usually is listed for, I decided to take a chance. The good: it does seem sturdy, it also seems like the manufacturer and sellers took note of previous reviews and used two pop rivets to connect the wings to the fuselage. The not so good: still carelessly packed. It came in a bubble wrap envelope, but it was intact although the antenna and prop blades were really bent. After a few hours, they seem to be straightening out. At least those parts are flexible plastic. The landing gear struts are also plastic, not as flexible as the other parts, so they could break. And I’m not sure how well the rivets will hold after the plane gets dropped a few times. Also, don’t expect it to be 8” x 11”; the seller’s dimensions are metric. It’s closer to 3” x 4”.I don’t know if all sellers have the improved version with rivets. I guess I’ll find out. I bought the last one from this seller, but bought another for our other grandson from a different seller that will arrive later
