This MINI PC... Games (and a whole lot more)!
The media could not be loaded. This is my 3rd Mini PC from GMKTec, and I've been very impressed with all of them. This latest model has an AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS with integrated Radeon 780M graphics and is being marketed as a mini gaming PC, so I thought I'd put it to the test. I installed Fortnite through the Epic Games Launcher and asked my son to demo. I attached some pictures and a video, but he was surprised at how well it ran the game on high settings. My monitor tops out at 2K resolution (2560x1440 pixels / QHD 1440p), and while not 4K, he was still playing with good quality and frame rate without having to drop to 1080p (which is fine too). The fan does get a little noisy during heavy loading (i.e., gaming), but it isn't too bad. I recalled my first GMKTec mini PC has the ability to run in a lower power mode with slower fan speeds through BIOS adjustments, so I looked through the BIOS on this PC but didn't find what I was looking for. I'll need to dig a little deeper here. This PC has Windows 11 Pro 64-bit, so Pro is an unexpected upgrade, although with the networking capabilities this PC has, it probably is a necessity. It has 32.0GB RAM and a 2.0TB SSD. There are traditional USB A slots on the back for keyboard and mouse, but it also has numerous USB C 4.0 ports on the front and back, one of which is directly next to the power plug. I need to look into this because I may be able to use my 140W USB-C wall charger to power this PC through its USB-C 4.0 port instead of using the larger laptop-style charger brick and cable that it came with.I attached some benchmark results, including one from CPU-Z showing this PC's processor is slightly faster in single and multi-thread testing compared to an Intel Core i9-11900K.This PC is fast, and the little LED multi-colored fan is a nice touch. The top clear lid comes off easily if you turn it counter-clockwise about 45° - putting it back on is easy too by doing the inverse.Out of the 3 GMKtec PCs I've purchased, I had an issue requiring support only once with the first PC. Their support team responded within 12 hours and quickly resolved my issue. If you're looking for something small to free up desk space but powerful enough to do anything business-related while being able to game too, then this PC is a great choice for you. I purchased their next model down, the GMKTec NucBox K8 Plus, to run in our conference room at work, and it handles large assemblies in SolidWorks (3D CAD software) very smoothly. I know you'd be surprised at the performance at any size, but in something this small, it is remarkable. Laptop components in a mini PC form factor for the win! I'll never buy a huge tower again.

Good deal for a retro gaming tv box
Purchased the M6 16gb/512gb model. I have started setting it up under my tv as a retro gaming box. Bluetooth works well with my 8bitdo pro controller from the couch. So far it is working great with everything up to Gamecube and PS2. I had it set up initially for 4k, but changed to 1080p because Launchbox was laggy at the higher resolution. The only feature it is missing for me is power on by keyboard. It will wake from sleep using a usb dongle based keyboard, but there is no power-on option from hibernate or off, so i probably won't use the vesa mount since the power switch would be too hard to reach. Windows 11 Pro was installed as advertised, and it does not prompt for microsoft account. This is a big deal, since you can use the Group Policy Editor and turn off all of the annoying Windows 11 "features" that you wish to. Fans can be heard when system is working hard, it is not too loud... but maybe not ideal for a media server while watching movies.Update :PC is running great so far. Plenty of power for upscaling PS2/GC emulators to 1080p. I had a glitch with the audio not always working over hdmi when booting up (needed to disable/enable sound controller in device manager), but I was able to fix it by finding a new driver on the web (not available yet from microsoft driver updates).

To paraphrase: phenomenal power, itty bitty...
My dad has been excited about these tiny computers since they became available. It was the least expensive computer he has ever purchased and compares competitively against my much more expensive gaming machine at home. It set up easily. It takes his monitor longer to power up than this computer, which makes him almost giddy. And it's so little! It's smaller than the hard drive enclosure we didn't really need that preserves what remains of his old device.

Great little PC
This is a great little machine. I hardly use my big expensive gaming PC anymore. I have played Starfield, Skyrim, Fallout 4, and Cyberpunk on it, no issues at all. Granted I only have a FHD monitor, so 1080p is my limit. Oblivion Remastered give me a warning about not having enough video memory, but it runs perfectly fine.
