EatonEllipse Pro 1600 IEC UPS - Line Interactive Uninterruptible Power Supply - ELP1600IEC - 1600VA (8 outlets IEC-C13, USB, Shutdown software)

Got my 850VA last week, the unit is slim, well designed., with 4 sockets, first one as a master and the 4th as the Eco port.UPS works well with my home NAS server and few power supply for Home Hub, Raspberry Pi and my laser Printer.With power of 90-100W, this 510W unit will last about 48-49min. I have TrueNAS to control UPS over USB cable.Unit was well protected for the shipment.

I ended up returning this as the fan noise from it was so overpowering in a home office environment. I've had many UPS's over the years from APC and Eaton, even large rack mount ones and they were all quieter (near silent most of the time) compared to this. Frustrating as usually Eaton products are pretty good.

Opened package, nasty "phenolic" smell evident, a bit like TCP antiseptic. Plugged in to charge, smell became worse, caused sore throat. returned to Amazon for full refund.

I am today chucking two more of these into the dustbin.They were running for about 2 years, and as we got some power cuts we found that they were dud.One does not charge the battery. The other does not generate any power out of a fully charged battery.Both out of warranty, of course.Batteries are fine.
