Well packaged - no broken anything! Read for more...
Having read so many reviews that talked of damaged packaging and hence a damaged keyboard within, I can only say this was NOT the case with mine, purchased late Oct 2024. I found it was packaged well with a strong box, all keys taped solidly to ensure no internal movement and decent expanded polystyrene buffers around what matters. Maybe Korg have improved the packaging?? Who knows - all I do know is that it wasn't treated with (due) reverence being removed from the Amazon delivery van and it survived that perfectly. As for the rest of the review, it's the best keybed you will get outside of thousands of pounds so do not hesitate whether as a piano or midi controller.

Damaged goods
Take care, this arrived all the way from China and was damaged on the way. I've nothing against Korg and this came with excellent independent reviews. But I was unable properly to test the quality of the instrument owing to the fact that the whole lower bass octave was unplayable (keys stuck) and the top octave very similar. The sustaining pedal seemed to reverberate far too long, but this might have been because of the damage, I couldn't tell. But it wasn't nice! Thinking twice about buying it again, unless anyone can tell me otherwise and this was just bad luck. Seemed a good price for a sound, middle quality instrument and I've had Korgs before and they have served very well. But not this particular one.

Piano great, delivery shocking
Difficult review, this, because it's in two parts. The piano is fine. Decent action, Korg's best, there are better, but they come at a price - if you have the money, consider the Roland FP-90, that's lovely. But, excellent piano for the money, and a great idea - strip back to the essentials, and make those essentials as good as they can be.But, the thing is delivered by My Hermes. The first one came to me clearly dropped hard, and with two keys smashed at the bottom end. Also no manual, which suggests to me it was a return in the first place. That was replaced with another, which had also been dropped in transit, though appears to have survived intact.Review in short: I'd buy the piano, but I'd spend a few more quid and buy it from someone who understands that you can't drop pianos and get away with it.I would note that Elijah who handled my complaint at Amazon did so in exemplary fashion and is a credit to company. The delivery was quite the opposite.

A brilliant beginner Piano with a beautiful keybed
If you want a beginner piano that has the action of an expensive piano, go for this. The RH3 keybed is beautiful, and it used in a lot much more expensive models. The box mine arrived with was a little banged up, but the actual keybed seemed safe, apart from a few loose screws probably from vibration etc. It's a joy to play on and all keys have the action of an actual piano so you get the most out of your playing! It doesn't include speakers and that's fine, it doesn't need them since most in-built speakers on keyboards are pretty bad. Just hook up any speakers you'd like, or headphones. It has the standard connections to do so!

Broken piano
At least five of my keys are broken, and it takes a lot of effort for me to take it home or return it

A great Digital piano.
This piano features the RH3 real hammer action keyboard , which makes it the best feel of this kind of digital piano. It is heavy though & if you're just beginning , I'd suggest the Korg B2 , less sounds , much cheaperin the Korg D1The sounds are all very good , 30 in all , & minimal effects . it's easy to use .Its perfect for those who want to play a real piano. , the various piano sounds are beautiful. The electric piano sounds are also very good & suit all genres of pop, funk, soul ,There are organ sounds & for church musicians some lovely pipe organs , strings & choir . plus a realistic nylon guitar & vibraphone. No speakers , but headphones will sort that & for stage work , you'd be using high powered speakers .What you are getting is a simple , rugged piano for gigging , if I was buying it just for home use , then I'd probably just buy a Korg B2 , a lot cheaper , around £300 , light weight with speakers & 12 sounds.or the Korg 280 , which has same 30 sounds with built in speakers . neither of these have RH3 keybed , though the action is good. But can you beat the D1 , real hammer action, ? RH3 , well I've tried some top pianos by leading manufacturers & I always came back to the RH3 , it might be my personal choice , but I think it's the best there is.You could buy a Korg Stage Vintage , the new one has speakers , with same keybed & loads of sounds , but it's £1800 for 88 keys or £1700 for 73 keys. great retro piano , lots of knobs n effects. My advise is this will do the job, nothing fancy , it's a digital piano. The Korg D1 , I want one .
