Depends What You Looking For.
We wanted a new security system. We had previously had a Yale home kit, alarm etc, which was fine, but it need to be attached to a phone line etc, so it stopped being used and was eventually removed.3 years later we decided we would get a new one. After some research, we found that there were a wide range of options available., I narrowed it down by the following:1. We didn't want to pay a subscription fee for it to be monitored2. We didn't want one that needed a phone line or sim card3, We wanted one that was easy to install and wasn't ugly/intrusive4. We wanted one that could be managed remotelySo after some searching, we found this system on Amazon. I took a punt and ordered it. Worst case we could send it back, no issue. This system is great. Yes the instructions are a bit iffy, but with all of the questions and comments on the product page, it was easy to install. The additional peripherals are cheap, so it was easy to increas the coverage around the who house (door sensors and PIR sensors). The alarm itself, plugs into the wall and is connected via wifi. Download the app. Follow the instructions, and you're good to go.This isn't an alarm system that will call out the 5th Calvary, this is a deterrent. The alarm is loud, it will send any burglar running, it will also set off an alarm on your phone to let you know the alarm is going off.Short of getting a rottweiler, this system does the job, and it means you can be kept aware of what is happening in your house anywhere in the world.I also purchased some WiFi CCTV, so I can visually check the house as well. Its a great product and you won't be disappointed

I wish I knew these things first...
The siren is not that loud. Couldn't hear it if I'm upstairs. The motion detecter only works sometimes. Installing it was pretty tricky, so bear that in mind. But worst of all, I returned it because it wasn't secure enough.. But I never received a full refund. Apparently the item can't be resold now since the sticker on the contact sensor was ruined. Nonsense! BE AWARE - You may not get all of your money back. My advice, find a different alarm System.

Works well enough as a monitoring device on your phone
Pros:No subscription feesEasy enough to install - took me a few goes at connecting to the internet (needs 2.4 ghz internet and will not work on 5G)Works via IFTTT app to send messages to your phoneDoorbell works wellVery helpful sellerCons:Weak alarm siren - my neighbours can hear it through the wall but only justNeeds IFTTT to send messages and this needs to be set up, linked and installed in addition to the alarms ama appAlexa compatibility via SSG skill is limited (the skill is not very good)Conclusion:Good enough to help you monitor your home from your phone when you away but due to the weak siren it will not function well as a traditional alarm (i.e. one that attracts the attention of others). Any intruder can unplug the hub and put it under pillows to dull the noise but it will send you notifications via IFTTT when triggered (so you can then check your CCTV, then call the police or deactivate/reactivate the alarm remotely from your phone).Doorbell is loud enough and sends messages to my phone when triggered via the IFTTT app. Can take a few mins but generally works well.IFTTT app needs to be installed, linked and set up separately to the alarm app to get any real functionality from this item.Seller was a gem who helped me through set up and fully refunded some items that were not as I had hoped (a broken sensor and an outdoor alarm I could not link to my hub).

Will not connect, with Alexa or network
Well it seemed hopeful, when the package arrived early but that was short lived. The biggest issue was getting the device to connect, i know that having a BT hub is a comlete pain when getting device of this smart nature to connect but this thing took it to a whole new level. I spent around 5 hours trying to get it connect not like the 5 minutes it says on the info sheet (No user manual) So have tried to contact it to my neighbour's wifi with her more simple Virgin broadband hub still no joy, ending up going to my other neighbour, who just happens to be a BT openreach Technology support specialist to try it there, where we finally got it to connect the older BT hub 5. Ok, it's connected at last but not at my home but it was working. Next was to get it to connect to Alexa, so there I am reading the info sheet to see if I could information on how to connect or which skill needed to be installed but no nothing, just some information on Google Home, so completely useless to me as it was advertised as works well Alexa...! Yea right. So the only option is to return as not as described. Give it ago you might get lucky, but I wouldn't hold my breath.**** UPDATE 20/12/2019**** Failed to issue a full refund stating it was fine, well I doubt that very much given the aftersales service. I will be pursuing for a full refund though

Fantastic.
Absolutely fantastic. My mum paid £500+ for an alarm system on her house that does all of the same features as this but she has to pay a monthly subscription for it. Only difference is this has no backup supply so If I lose power the alarm will simply stop working. Whereas my mums will always go off.Delivery was second to non and I think it actually came the next day (Cambridgeshire so we do have 2 amazon warehouses not far away)Setup was pretty easy. I’ll admit I had a few problems along the way and sent security tags a couple of emails. They never did get back to me but I managed to sort the problems Out myself Anyway. The AMA home app is a little bit Ropey and it’s compatibility with Alexa is a bit limited. It allows me to arm the device but doesn’t allow me to disarm for some reason.I give a 5* purely for everything your getting for such a small amount of money.
