Bought for my granddaughter, "the artist" in the family!
Our granddaughter has been an honor student all the years of school and always give 100% to her work. She is an incredible artist and just started working in oil paint. I showed her this product and she really wanted to try it.SHE LOVES IT! She says it does clean oil paint, and with her brush comb, her brushes are kept in great shape.I would buy it again and recommend it to anyone who paints with oil or acrylic paint.

An excellent product
This product works exactly as advertised for oil-based paints. The price is right, and so is the quality.

Must have for any painter
This stuff is absolutely amazing. As a novice artist, I haven't always been great about washing my brushes as thoroughly as i probably should and had many that were getting a bit stiff. I watched a video with Cinnamon Cooney using this product to clean and restore brushes that have taken a little abuse. I was amazed at how well it actually works. Even brushes that i thought were clean had some residual paint in them. It only takes the tiniest amount of this soap and a little water and the brushes suds up and the color washes out! i will forever be a believer!!!

Good cleaner to add to the paint arsenal
I got this to clean my brushes, sure, but what I really wanted it for is to remove dried acrylic paint from clothes.I've been rubbing gobs of this linseed oil + soap product on a favorite shirt that has an ugly splotch of dried paint and followed the instructions to add soap & soak. 24-hrs later and occasional rubbing the paint with a flat brush, the paint has decreased, but has not come off. So was I expecting this to work as promised? -not really, but I had to try. Overall, it does work as a good brush cleaner to remove new paint residues in brushes.

Great stuff!
Works great on brushes, not so great on dried paint left in the palette. But restored dried brushes wonderfully!

Does not come with directions
So I looked back at what people were doing and went from there. Still not sure if I'm doing it right.Small dot of dish soap, half water and a tablespoon of the solution. Seems to work well for now.

Works great on my bristle brushes
Pulls the color I can't see out of the brush, cleans them nice. I wouldn't use this on sable watercolor brushes, though. They don't need it. makes them kind of oily.
