This is my first venture into wood burning and I have been pleasantly surprised at how easy this machine is to use. There are loads of different wire tips to choose from, a selection of practise pieces of wood and the pen itself is nice to hold. It can get a little warm after a while but not too hot to handle. The pen heats up and cools down very quickly. I only wish that it had a digital display in order to ensure the heat level I am using is more consistent, but this is a minor issue. As usual, it is necessary to start using something in order to find these things out - however, this machine is amazing value for money and is perfect for a start up machine.

Bought as a birthday present for me by my partner. Endless hours of fun since. Easy to use. Heats up really quickly, love being able to adjust the temperature, my last one didn't have that option.

Using it to burn letters on oak whisky barrel wood works well

Wonderful and so easy to get used to

I have never used one of these before so I had to get used to setting the temperature for different nibs, but didn't take long. Heats up VERY quickly and appears to be solidly made. I wanted it to make some labels for the garden (see photo) as even indelible pen seems to fade. Early days yet but this solution seems very promising. I am very impressed with the tool and the build quality.

Excellent bit of equipment

The media could not be loaded. I recently decided to try my hand at pyrography, and this wood-burning is a great starting point. The adjustable temperature range is easy to control, making it simple to work with different types of wood and try out various techniques.The pen is lightweight and comfortable to use, even during longer practice sessions, which will be be helpful as I get the hang of things. With 10 nibs included, I can to experiment with textures, fine details, and shading to see what works best for different projects.What stands out most is how consistent and reliable it is. The heat stays steady, and the setup is straightforward, allowing me to focus on learning without any unnecessary complications. It’s well-suited for beginners like me while still offering room to grow and explore more advanced designs. Overall, it’s made starting pyrography an enjoyable and creative experience.

This is a great pyrography set as it includes - 1 detachable wood burning pen, barrel pen holder, tip storage tin, 10 pyrography tips, screw driver, 2 pieces of wood and 4 stencils. The kit also has a basic guidebook. The pen nibs are made of chromium alloy material.The pen is lightweight and the barrel is slim so it is comfortable to hold. The pen has the option to adjust the temperature to accommodate a larger selection of materials.I would highly recommend this.
