Powerful and light
We are really pleased with this steamer, very easy to use and designed well. Powerful and light and easy to operate, we like the fact it comes with two sizes of water tank and a hanging/protective pad and a protective glove which doubles as a carry/travel bag for the steamer. When it arrived we set it up with the smaller water tank, it was at working temperature within half a minute, the smaller water tank was more than enough for the task in hand. We tried it on a couple of pairs of jeans a mans shirt and a women's delicate blouse and was pleased with the result. Would recommend this steamer to anyone.

Good overall
Only had this 2 days but have tested it on a pair of curtains that were creased. The water tank is small however it was enough to do the curtains, plus it heated up really quick so no issue if had of needed to refill. The cord is really long which is useful. The steam worked well. I bought to replace a Tefal one that just stopped working. Steaming is much quicker and handier than getting the iron out. Only negative with this is it doesn’t stand up / have a stand, so when I’d finished and it needed to cool down I ended up lying it on a towel. This could be a problem if you need to pause and refill or get another garment out - prepare something to lay it on.

21st Century Iron
The Philips 5000 handheld steamer is bringing ironing into the 21st Century. I chose this particular version partly to free up cupboard space (no more bulky iron/ironing board) and partly as I wanted to get “down with the kids” as apparently conventional ironing is old hat now. I mainly chose it though because it looks like a really cool space gun!I chose the red option which is actually a vibrant slightly dusky coral colour (not scarlet as it looks in done photos). I must point out that the difference between colours in this range is not just the colour but the accessories that come with it: the coral/red comes with just a heat protecting mit that doubles up as a storage bag. Some of the others in this range have an additional ironing mat and slightly larger capacity 200ml water holder.Main features: 35 second heat up time (I timed it). There is an on/off switch and an eco/max button. Also a trigger that you press to release a burst of steam. I particularly like this as it means you’re not wasting water and can control exactly where to steam. I couldn’t really notice a difference with the max mode, I guess it just dumps more steamer faster. The device can be used either straight or bent - just click it into the bent position for the “space gun” look. I only tried using it in this position and it was comfortable to use.The steamer can be rested on its side while adjusting garments etc to steam - the hot plate doesn’t touch the surface so seems safe. You could rest it in the heat mit for extra security. The main thing I was concerned about before purchasing was whether the water tank would be big enough. The capacity is 120mls. I found this gave me approx 5-10 mins use on eco mode, which was ample. I refilled it twice in my ironing session but that was just because I was trying it out around the home seeing if I could steam off old stains on curtains / cupboard doors (it didn’t work so well on these - a gadget with a scrubby head might have been more appropriate). The weight was fine, not ultra light but by no means weighty. don’t think the 200ml water tank would have been necessary - and would add to the overall weight. Also, I could mark it down for length of the lead (2 metres) but I think that a longer lead would also have added to the weight. Just something to consider but you could always add an extension lead. The water holder just clicks on and off, has a rubber seal that covers the water hole (flipIt to fill it). It seems fairly durable - possibly potentially the weakest point for longevity but time will tell.Use: you can iron like a flat conventional iron or just hang up a garment, slightly stretch out the part you want to de-wrinkle (wear the mit for this), spray the steam and you’re done.Overall, I’d definitely recommend. It exceeded my expectations for looks and use. And it works! No more grappling with a heavy old ironing board and airing for a steam iron to warm up.

Game changer
It’s a game changer in our busy household with kids. How often did I take something out of the wardrobe and put it back again because it has some creases and I don’t have time to go through of getting the ironing board. So a lot of clothes would just sit in the cupboard and never get worn. Or when you need to iron one thing you washed, a little piece of clothing for your child or just the simply fix shirt/stress before leaving home but can go through the hustle of iron and ironing board. It’s very lightweight, I like the option of two different container sizes for the water, it’s portable so great for holiday too. It’s well made by reputable brand so should last me a long time. It delivers outstanding amount of steam for its size and performs really well considering the size. It made our lives so much easier in this fast moving world when you simply struggle with time. I love that you can steam horizontally or vertically and it comes with extra items too, very useful! Just brilliant!

The item was use
I've got delivered a use product, you can see that was water signs, the put the foil back, but you can see that was attached, I could buy the same product for 10£ for Facebook marketplace if I needed a use product . It is working fine, but obviously is a waste of money

Not for me
I really wanted this to be a game changer. It looks cute and easy to pack. For me this was just ok and if you take filling up the little water tank with distilled water into consideration, no quicker than an iron. Am looking forward to getting a more effective steamer.

Fast and easy to use
The Philips Steamer is a game-changer for anyone looking to refresh their wardrobe quickly without the hassle of pulling out an ironing board. It’s lightweight, heats up fast and delivers a steady stream of steam, making it ideal for touching up wrinkles on delicate fabrics, suits, or even curtains. The ability to steam vertically and horizontally is a standout feature. The small 0.07-litre water tank may seem limited, but it’s sufficient for quick touch-ups. However, for larger loads, you may find yourself refilling it more often. One of its best features is its ease of use—no ironing board needed! Just hang your garment, steam, and you’re ready to go.it’s handy tool for busy professionals or frequent travelers. While it’s not a complete replacement for a traditional iron when you need crisp, sharp creases, it excels in convenience and practicality. If you’re after a quick, fuss-free way to keep your clothes looking fresh, this little device delivers.

Great product overall
Versurile, easy to use, and to transport , gets the job done. The small water container it’s the only downside, it it’s enough for 2 shirts, and then you have to refill it.Nonetheless it’s a great product overall.
