Great helper for getting up from seated postion
When I read some other reviews about it being unstruy and hard to assemble, I almost didn't purchase it. but i have got to say they are wrong, it was very easy to assemble, and the wife finds it to be very stable

Work ok
It's a little wobbly for my hospice mom, but if I stand on it while she moves from one place to another, it's OK. IE wheel chair to bed.

Helpful and convenient
The stand assist is very easy to assemble and provides that extra help I need to get out of a chair or any situation from sitting to standing. It doesn’t take up a lot of room, and is lightweight to move around. I ended up buying a second one because I found it so helpful and convenient.

Worthless for assistance getting up from a seated position.
Advertised as, "Portable bar helps you rise from seated position." I bought this for my mother who is elderly and has difficulty getting up from a seated position. Any force applied to the device in a direction other then straight down, tips the device over. Of the visuals included in the advertising for this product, notice what you don't see--a video of an elderly person using the device to get up from a seated position. What is included are photos with at least one hand pushing straight down on the device. Pulling on the device from a seated position just tips it over. In my opinion it is false advertising.

okay but not great
I will keep this but I wish that it were a little wider and taller. I have to spread my legs a bit in order to get enough leverage to get out of my chair. I have not yet tried to get up from the floor with it. I'm concerned that there will never be enough leverage to get up from the floor.

Excellent for broken ankle
I recently fell down a flight of stairs and broke my ankle and a couple fingers. While preparing for surgery, I searched Amazon for anything that might help while I spend 6 weeks non-weightbearing. I quickly found that getting up was a challenge unless I had something tall to push myself up with. I also live alone so it was important for me to be able to get around my home without assistance. I can more or less only use one hand and one leg so it was an extra challenge!!This looked like it could do the trick and it sure has!! I'm so happy I tried it. I bring it in the bathroom when I shower, and the rest of the time it sits next to my armchair where I'm spending 99.5% of my life. (If I wasn't unemployed due to covid I'd probably buy a few extras, but I can make do with one). Makes getting up sooooo much easier and safer than just using the arms of the chair. The extra height really helps. (The picture shows the height of this compared to my arm chair and the kitchen table next to it.)It definitely is more for pushing than pulling. It's reasonably steady/stable when pushing. I found it can tilt a bit so I tilt it before trying to stand up, so I'm not surprised by any sudden movements.

really sturdy
I bought this for my sister. She loves it. It really helps her to feel more steady getting up and down to transfer from her shair to wheel chair and visa versa.
