I received this MINIX MagSafe car charger for test and review. I didn’t know what to expect with this lowish cooling fan price version.The MagSafe car phone holder fits well to my Passat CC centre air vent, although I can no longer really use this air vent, it’s in the ideal position for my mobile phone. I connected the mag-safe wireless charging phone holder to my USB C car power adaptor, using the USB C to USB C PD charging cable. I found the MagSafe charger has very strong magnets and holds all my various phones securely in place, it charges my Samsung S24 Ultra and my wife’s iPhone 15 at a reasonable rate. I’m impressed with the cooling effect from having the internal fan, it really does make a difference especially when charging and navigating and the same time.Overall, I personally think this charger looks great, the customizable RGB around the edge really sets it off. Most importantly it holds and charges my phones well.I hope you find my review useful and helpful

This is an unusual car charger in that I cannot provide an image of while charging because my phone is on the charger, however, the website includes images. The prices at the time of writing is good value at £29.99 with a further reduction provides on the webpage of 25%.Supplied in the box are, the MagSafe disk, the adaptor which you attach to the adaptor in order to seat it in the vent, a USB C to USB C cable and a good quality in car charger with two ports, one for a USB C cable (PD - supplied) and one for a USB A cable (Quick Charge not supplied).It is easy to fit into an air vent and it's positioning is easy, but it does mean that the vent itself can no longer be adjusted for directing air in any other direction. The magnetic force in the charger is very strong and keeps my Galaxy S24 Ultra safely in place (note: if you have a stylus installed, you may get a message on your phone to indicate that the stylus may be affected by MagSafe. I also charge my phone on a bedside Q charger, and I can say that this has never shown any problems with my stylus). The charger is connected by a USB C to USB C PD charging cable or a USB C to USB A which you would need to apply. You may also have a suitable socket in your car for USB C or USB A direct connection which will no require the provided charger plug described above.The charging disk has powerful magnets, but the cooking fan included keeps devices from overheating.I am finding it helpful to use in my car rather than using Android Auto because it provides more detailed information in this configuration.

Seems to be well built and unlike other car charging mounts this does stay a lot cooler as it has a fan running but can't say I've noticed it whilst driving.Strong magnet and phone has not moved at all once placed.LED lights around the outside but can't really see them unless it's dark and you can also cycle through different light effectsAlso comes with power adapter with both USB-A and USB-C ports.All in all an excellent charger and recommended

This is a 15W Qi2 MagSafe wireless car charger.It seems alright overall. The charger has built-in lights around the rim of the charging surface, but they're not very visible while charging unless it's quite dark. There's a button to cycle through various colours and a rotating rainbow effect.The cooling technology seems effective. The centre of the charger remains noticeably cooler than the surrounding area. There's also a fan that runs constantly while charging. It's not really noticeable in the car, but it might be annoying in a quiet environment.The charger comes with a car cigarette lighter adapter with both USB-A and USB-C ports. The charger itself uses USB-C for power and includes a USB-C to USB-C cable.I'm using a Pixel 9 Pro XL, which seems to be a bit finicky with wireless charging so this charger isn't ideal for me. I find it much easier to use a regular mount and just plug in a USB-C cable.However, for iPhone users, it's probably a good option.

Very good wireless charger. No problem with fast charging my iPhone. Hold the phone nice and tidy even on the road bumps and patholes. Two weeks on test in my car and no problems at all. Definitely worth to recommend.
