Good for refurbished
Okay I ordered from Tech Warehouse. I would say know what you are getting. When ordering refurbished I try to read the company reviews first. I don’t like ordering from companies with less than 1000 reviews and a score of lower than 80%. Tech Warehouse met those standards even if I paid more for the product. Now for the product itself. I ordered a second generation iPad. It is much older and slower than most of the other iPads you can buy, but I need a bigger screen. I run a RPG group and most of my players use tablets/phones to track characters on. My sister has to print her sheets to see them because of her vision. I let her use my iPad with the 10’ screen and she just wanted something bigger. I ordered this to help her and to get a bigger screen for reading sheet music on. This iPad does those two things wonderfully.Down side is it lags with non-document reading programs. I am not shocked. When this was new it was the powerhouse of the iPads maybe not in storage, but in speed. Like most devices technology improves and by comparison it slows down. I own two other iPads a Gen 6 iPad and a Gen 4 iPad. It runs the same as the generation 6 with more memory. It however is slow and has problems processing compared to my iPhone 13. That being said it is still a great machine. Just not the first draft pick if you need it for anything other than document reading and watching videos. It draws fine with procreate and it plays board game apps fine, but it is still old. Also note as of December 2023 it still updates to the latest operating system 17. Just note the first generation doesn’t update past 16, so the writing might be on the wall for this on for updates. That might limit what apps it will run in the future. My iPad 4 stopped updating at 10, so half of my apps don’t run on it. The problem with development and planned obsolescence I guess. If you are buying this for school and have the money for a generation, or two younger I would think about getting those instead for the speed and updates. If this is in your price range know it is refurbished, so like new, but not new. It will run everything you most likely need it for, but don’t be shocked if it lags in the middle of note taking, so get a good audio recording app for your phone. To end the review it is a 2nd generation iPad. It updates to IOS 17 and will run most apps. The processing speed is not great and will lag with some input, but if you give it a second it will do what you want. I have not had it crash an app yet, but will not be shocked if it does. For running characters sheet apps and taking notes at an rpg table it does everything it needs to for me. I like the screen and the way it looks compared to my regular iPad gen 6. If I ever get the cash then I would definitely buy a 12.9 pro iPad new, but for now this second generation version does everything I want it to do.

Excellent condition refurb, but lacks a good charger. Excellent iPad even compared to 3rg gen pro.
I’ve been using the 9.7 inch iPad Pro (1st generation) for a while now, at least 2 years most likely, and it’s been wonderful as my main portable computer. As a hobbyist artist it’s been fantastic, but I bought it mere months before this second generation released. Even before that I felt the size was fine, until I got my hands on a 12 inch pen display for my pc. Ever since I’ve been craving the larger size, but couldn’t afford it. Until now, that is. And what a delightful time it’s been on this roomy display. As an upgrade to the first generation it’s been worthwhile, especially for the admittedly subtle “pro motion” 120 hz capable display. Art, particularly drawing, has felt life-like. I believe the first time I tried one of the second iPad pros in the apple store I used the word “transcendental.” Possibly (quite heavily actually) quite a hyperbolic word, but it’s something I feel like I’d miss going back to other displays and devices. As a lesser device to the third generation pro I personally find no down side. I’m not a fan of Face ID. I’m not a fan of the lack of a home button even though I know I’d be able to get used to it quickly. The display on the third gen is much better, and the overall smaller footprint of the new iPad is much improved when you consider this beast has a 13 inch display. I don’t feel like I don’t have a top quality product, though. And the gap between this generation and the 3rd isn’t big enough for me to feel like I’m left out of something great. With the upcoming iPadOS I look forward to basically replacing my laptop with this. It’s worth mentioning that the refurb I got was in superb condition. If I was handed it in an actual apple box I likely wouldn’t have noticed. Apart from a minuscule scratch on the apple logo it’s in mint condition. However, like others I also received the wrong wattage USB adapter for charging. Be sure to already have a 12 watt charger on hand if you want it to charge fully, properly, and rapidly. Luckily I still had my own.Overall the low price is a great deal considering how nice my unit’s condition was in. I don’t regret it a bit and look forward to 2 or 3 years with this iPad.

iPad you pad we all pad
Can’t afford a brand new model. This is a great option for the newbie. Functions correctly, good speed, apps work well, Battery life honorable!! I don’t know about gaming but I play online chess with family members, listen to Spotify and downloaded albums, masmaged email and iMessage..all good.
