Microplastics test
Note that you have to poke yourself to draw blood in order to do the test. I had to poke myself multiple times in order to get enough blood. Then you have to mail it in and wait for the results. Not the best experience.

An old test with faulty directions
Upon receiving this microplastics test kit I carefully read directions then proceeded to take the test which means giving a blood sample on a test card.In the box I received was one alcohol swab which was totally dry and a thin one inch square of fabric. I had to use my own alcohol and swabs. There was additionally a single package of a piece of thin guaze which the package was completely apart due I believe to being so old the adhesive sealing the package which was supposed to be sterile had evaporated. Then came the lancet, this is where it really became a problem.I had zero experience with using any sort of lancet, I attempted to follow the printed directions in the kit very carefully. I knew I had to make my finger bleed and needed to do it correctly. The printed directions which I followed using the lancets supplied ended up slicing the first layer of skin on my hands and fingers. It had me pressing side of lancet but the lancets they sent were not what the directions were for. They had sent blades with a point yet instructing me to perform actions which were harming me. I did have the sense to not hold or press these blades enough that I would end up in ER for medical care.Because I had zero lancet experience I had no idea they included wrong lancets for wrong directions. It took two emails before I received response but once they responded they did take situation seriously. I ended up having to get lancets similar to their directions and finally submitting test which was mailed to the Netherlands. I just received my results, just a graph and where I rate for microplastics with other testers percentage wise.I believe my test supplies were very old and the dangerous lancet issue there is no excuse for. This test is very expensive and to get an old test with harmful supplies and directions I cannot recommend it at all.See photo of lancet they included, there were four of them.

Simple process.
This doesn’t require a vial of blood or a special drop off like another test I ordered. Just put drops on the paper where you need to, let it dry, package and send with the envelope that has a forever stamp. I do not know how accurate but it is an interesting insight.

Useless
Finally opened this and realized it was useless. The lancet is horrible!! I am okay with poking myself and with blood, but my goodness. I've never seen a lancet like this. And it's dull. Useless. And that's where I stopped. Not worth it.

Finally an at-home microplastics test
I am so excited that there's now a test to learn levels of microplastics in my body. Now I have a baseline and can test which life modifications lower my levels. The test was easy to complete.Given that we are all creating intuitions about microplastics, here are my results:<10 μm - 5 particles10-30 μm - 2 particles30-70 μm - noneTotal Particles: 7Calculated Concentration*: 70 P/ml based upon assumed collection of a 100μℓ sample.I am in the top 76.5th percentile for having lower levels of microplastics detected compared to other tests. We are going to win the war against microplastics.

Life is plastic, it's fantastic
My biggest qualm about this test is that my blood could be used for other experiments, so I feel a little uneasy about completing this test and mailing it off. They also include some old style lancets that are not the spring loaded kind, which could be difficult for some to use. I have no issue using these type of lancets, but my partner absolutely cannot, but is fine with the type that most people use to check their blood sugar. As of now I'm still torn as to whether to complete and submit the test as there are privacy concerns.

NEVER GOT RESULTS! The lancet is way too hard to use
Buyer beware!! I’ve given more than enough time and never received any results from this test at all. Never had any communication from the company either. Nothing in spam folder either.I thought this test was going to be a piece of cake to use and send off, but these lancets almost ruined the entire thing for me. For a test that's $150 I'd expect they could at least use a spring-loaded finger prick device. It instructs you to register using a QR code, and after I did, I received an image that said I successfully registered and would receive results within two weeks after they get my sample. I don't get why that step was even needed when I had to provide all that information on the card that was sent back with the blood sample already. There's no app to download; it really seemed like a totally pointless step. Back to the lancet - I ended up having to ask someone else to use it on my finger because I just couldn't do it on my own. It took more than just a drop of sample to adequately fill in the oval on the sample card. I actually didn't think I was going to be able to produce enough sample to get a good reading but eventually I did. The lancet I used caused my finger to be very sore for several hours after this test. Then I had to just let the sample sit out on the card for 30 minutes to dry. I sealed the test up and sent it back in a very basic envelope they provided, not something that looked professional or indicated it was for medical use or even that it contained biohazards inside. I took it straight to the post office and now I await the results. They don't tell you what to do with this information when you receive the results, but I hope they really provide cutting edge reports with a detailed analysis as they promise. At this point I have serious doubts; I'm not impressed at all by what seems to feel like an overpriced at home science experiment using less than professional medical grade materials. I'll update in two weeks if I get anything back from this microplastics screening test.
