Short but filled with knowledge, especially for those starting to learn about efficient monitoring.
The book is not long, it is concise, it goes straight to the point and teaches you about pivotal concepts, practices and anti-patterns that serve as foundations to build efficient monitoring teams and services.

Good book for overall monitoring!
Bought this for my new job in monitoring. It doesn't go into specific monitoring platforms, but teaches you the basics and fundamentals and more of monitoring. It's sitting on my desk in the office.

Best practices compressed into 140 pages.
The book is very brief and balances on the edge between theory and practices. Doesn't go too deep into theory as well as into examples related to some specific technologies. It's good to get oriented into common terms and approaches, but if you want to dig deeper into the problematic than I would recommend to combine this book with SRE/DevOps related one.

Highly recommended
This is a very good book, for both sysadmin/ops and developers. It's a short book but covers a lot, with practical tips to apply at work.

Short and to the point but gives a great birds eye view of monitoring IT in the 21st century.
Short and to the point but gives a great birds eye view of monitoring IT in the 21st century. Not technical but gives the reader just enough information to research the details. I'd recommend this book 100%
