This is a brilliant addition to my coop. It means not having to rush out in the morning to open the door. The hens know instinctively when to return to the coop and I've set the timer to close roughly around sunset which is plenty of time. I live that it's solar powered and so far even though we haven't had a lot of sun lately, it's power is still charging well. A great product and very good value for money.

Great door, very versatile, the battery lasts for a long time and with the solar panel I'm not sure its dropped from full even though we live in Wales, the land of no sunshine. Good to be able to set on timer and the remote is super useful if your door is inside wire. Very easy to attach too

This door is much sturdier than I expected. The alloy door is strong and I expect will keep foxes et al out. It's easy to assemble and install but I'm disappointed by the light sensor. For some reason, they took the unit to Mercury to calibrate the light sensitivity! The range of settings are 1-100. If I run my close door setting at 1 unit light sensitivity, it closes the door before all the ducks are in and they're stuck outside! Really disappointing because it would be so easy to change the setting of one of their circuit board resistors and it would work so well. I'm left to only use fixed time settings which have to be changed every few weeks as the sunset time changes. It's a pity because, in every other respect, it's a good unit that I would recommend. PS: I have the solar panel attached to the coup roof (you'll have to make your own attachment arrangements - the kit that comes with the product is flimsy and inadequate) and it keeps up with the power requirements of the door, charging the internal battery effectively.

Works perfectly, easy to setup and install.

I purchased this after my more expensive one broke for the second time, and I couldn’t be happier with the decision. This product works flawlessly every time and hasn’t lost its charge yet, even during a stretch of cloudy days. The solar panel does an excellent job of keeping it powered, making it both reliable and efficient. Highly recommended!

Worked fine for a month and then broke never to work again even after changing batteries

I've left it a month before writing this but safe to say this automatic chicken door is incredible!I have spent a few years looking at the more expensive company's door and I finally convinced myself to get one when I looked online and saw this instead for a third of the price.Reviews looked good, but what sold it to be was I couldn't figure out the fitting kit I needed for the expensive one, but this one just looked so easy to install - and it was! We fitted it within 15 mins, and no stress at all.The door fits wonderfully and has either the function of a light sensor, a timer or you can do it using the remote control.Highly recommend!

It’s actually pretty decent!Doesn’t have wifi but was a lot cheaper than other units.I’m using it fine in a smaller coop. I was concerned that it couldn’t open fully and might have an issue because of that but it hits the roof and stays until closing at night.The time mode works great, I’m yet to explore the light setting as accidentally locked my chickens outside.Comes with solar panel which (early days but) seems to be keeping it charged.
