The right tool for the job
I was trained to use.a.wrench and Allen keys to.adjust.hinges, but his is so.much better, more precise and easier to train someone to correct hinge.problems.

Door Hinge Bender
While the product does bend hinges, it doesn't do that great of a job. It also scratches the paint off of the hinges. Says it fits standard hinges, but is so loose that it slips right out of side of it. May work on larger hinges, such as commercial, but not standard as advertised and was what I was looking for.

Saves a lot of time between bigger repairs
In the facilities trade, you have 'right now' and 'we'll get to it' maintenance items. This wrench takes at least the panicked 'we can't secure the door' 5PM on a Friday nightmare into a 'this will take care of it until the parts come in Tuesday' nuisance. Not a childs toy, this is sturdy enough that with a little bit of care (like not dropping it) should outlast your 'problem door propping with a rock' moron. Works well for that 'right now' fix, and I'm very glad to have it. Adjust one hinge without damaging the other 3 or 4 on the door.

Handy tool
My backyard door is hard to close because it leans too heavy on the left hand bottom part of the door. I originally tried to use the pliers method by aligning the individual hinge sections. This does work but I have to admit this new tool makes it easier. First off you have to remove the pin from the top hinge, then lift or wedge up the bottom part of the door that is hanging too low. I ended up using a metal bar and inching the door up as far as I could along the metal pole (picture attached). At this point you can definitely see the individual hinge parts as being unaligned. Whatever you do don't put the whole tool over the hinge and try to wrench it into place. I did that at first and it feels as if you're going to pull the whole hinge out of the door jam. Instead, put the tool over 2 hinge sections at a time to align them from the top and bottom until you get all of them as aligned as possible. Put the top pin halfway back in the top hinge to keep the door from falling, then remove the pin from the middle hinge and align the middle hinge. After you're done with the middle hinge put the pin completely back in and remove the top pin again and realign the top hinge a 2nd time. My door now closes by lightly pushing it. I took a star off because the original ad said the tool is for standard and commercial doors but the instructions that came with the tool states specifically not to use it on residential doors.

Make sure you have space between the wall and the door hinge
There is a great tool for making adjustments to your doors, but you need plenty of room between the door and the wall for leverage. I did not.
