Easy to read and understand for all levels. Great book.

effective for simple mechanic work but not good enough for pro level

I have not read a lot in this book, just skimmed through it. When I was readying to wire my hot rod, I ordered this and I also ordered other automotive wiring books online in Amazon. I have used a little from all, they got me going, a good informative book.

DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK! a total waste of your money. So you want to know how to wire something...this book has pictures of: push-on connectors and shows the difference of male & female. Really ! How about rubber grommets ! Or a pair of side cutters ! OH wait there is even a pic of electrical tape ! How about an ignition switch. It shows a pic of a steering column with the key out, key in "ACC" position, and key in start position. You've got to be kidding me. Engine-Monitoring systems it shows pics of gauges.. a gas gauge or a volt meter. Oh come on ! I want to know how to wire a car not see a pic of a battery ! I can not believe they would publish such a book, but online one can't see how useless it is, and they got me. Buy one and they would have gotten you too.

Easy to read

Not a very informative book once it gets past the basics in the first few pages. It does provide some understanding about certain electricl components such as alternators or ignition systems but I was hoping this book would be more inform active about how to build a electrical system for you customized car. Unfortunately it didn't improve on what I already know. I was hoping this book was going to provide some better understand of how a wiring loop might be built for a customized car. Perhaps look at sizing circuits, building fuse boxes etc but it fails in this regard. Perhaps if you are looking to do the odd electrical job on you can like install a radio or change the ignition system it might be ok, but there are other books that do this better.

Good info
