so easy to bake GOOD bread

My first one came completely cracked and not packaged well without a cook book. I exchanged for a new one. This one came with tons of bubble wrap!I’m not going to lie I was so nervous using this. Idk why.. maybe because I’m so used to preheating and also using an enamel Dutch oven pot for my breads. I soaked it for 30 min for first use like instructed, now I made the mistake of not using parchment or spraying because I was so focused on not screwing up, so I did get slight sticking on the bottom. I’ve seen two different ways of using this pot. One, put it in a cold even and let it heat up with the oven, and pull out then put food in. Or, place food in and cook altogether first placed in a cold even while preheating. I chose to let it go altogether which did take longer than normal. I’d probably say I normally cook for 40 min total and this added 20 min, 60 min total. I did take the lid off carefully the last 10 min of cook time. I’m not complaining though because this bread was baked to perfection and so yummy!! I’m extremely happy with this purchase. I also was very careful to not place on a cold surface to break the pot as it can’t handle extreme temperature changes. Lastly, my hubby is from Portugal, and I love that this comes from there!! It comes with a recipe book as well.

This roaster was perfect for making sourdough loaves. I have a successful loaf Everytime.
I use this roaster to make my sourdough sandwich loaves. Works perfectly. I literally never have issues. The lid steams my bread perfectly and I love I don't have to add water or ice. Make sure you soak the lid as it helps steam your food.

Great if you take care of it.
Used it several times to bake bread. Bread comes out perfectly baked. Just have to remember that clay does not tolerate sudden temperature changes.

A friend recommended this. My sourdough taste great BUT.....You needed a saws all to cut through crust. With the clay cooker same great taste, great crump. beautiful crust you can cut....I love this product
