Q: Can it be polled for the io status or does it only send on change. If the hub misses the change during boot up can you force a poll to get the status.

I am using it with SmartThings and it updates status automatically.

Q: can this control 2 reverse polarity motors? I have 2 lifts that need to operate independantly.

You need to engage both relays for a single reversed polarity motor so in order to control 2 motors, you would need to use 2 ZEN17 Universal Relays. We hope that helps!

Q: Can i switch 120v with this? I understand the power requirements. I just want to switch a 12vac load.

You can switch any load powered by 0-220 V on the output side as long as it's within 20 A (or 10 A for NC loads). Remember that the ZEN17 is powered with its own power source and the load you'll be switching needs its own appropriate power source. I remember I saw a diagram using this setup but with a 120v motor. So I guess it will work with a 12v motor.
