Works great. The controls are comfortable and intuitive, and the speed it’s heats up with is amazing compared to my other iron. The only thing I have against is that it comes with everything you could need except for a solder-sucker thing. Other than that, great starter iron that comes with everything, just get a sucker thing if you don’t have one already

This was my first experience using a C-210 style soldering tip, and I was blown away. The speed with which these things heat up to temperature is amazing… As is this kit. It’s pretty cool that as soon as you place the iron back into the holder, the temperature immediately drops to a maintenance level. After a set period, the unit goes to sleep, so you don’t have to worry about wasting energy keeping the iron hot. Temperature accuracy is insured by a built-in calibration function. There’s a thermocouple right on the unit that measures the actual tip temperature and calibrates the unit. I also had the opportunity to experience the company’s customer service. One of the tips was missing from its storage tube. A quick note to the company through Amazon was met with a prompt reply. They apologized for the issue and, without question, sent a replacement, which arrived in a couple of days.Overall, this is an impressive soldering station and has proved to be a valuable addition to my bench.

I basically bought this just for the hot tweezers being that other name brand tweezers are insanely & prohibitively expensive! They do heat up just fine, but aren't adjustable in any way, at least not from the handle. This is a problem if you're using the included solder tips.... tips that are really cheap and either don't have identical angles, one or both are warped, one or both are are off-centered, or have slightly different shapes that causes them to not sit flush with one another. Obviously you can turn the tips in the handle in such a way that they get close to matching, but even that wasn't enough to make my unit usable with some of the included tips.The money you saved by purchasing this tweezer station should go towards the purchase of a couple of high quality tips from JBC that will work with this unit.

I do not do a lot of soldering, but this station makes it very easy to work with. I am still learning a lot about what all it can do. Has a ton of features that really help out someone like me. The sleep mode when tool is put back. It heats up quickly and does a good job, the hot tweezers are very cool. I would recommend this to someone who does a lot of soldering.

I almost gave this three stars, but in the end it functioned for what I usually need a soldering station to do. I used it to do repairs on my car's electrical system parts and a few console mod touch-ups. Heat control is great, the soldering iron is versatile with the professional style tips available, and the hot tweezers for part removal are... well an interesting solution, I guess, but my hands are too unsteady to make it work well for long. I prefer a hot air heating gun attachment for most SMD and reflowing work as well as other applications, which this station lacks. I would rather have that which is why I ultimately still took a star off.It's good, but it could be great if redesigned to include a heat gun. If you need a basic temperature-controlled soldering station that performs well, this is a good value.

I do a fair amount of soldering. This is a nice kit that keeps things organized and is easy to use. I haven’t gotten to use the tweezers yet, but I will have a use changing surface mount fuses with those. This would be an awesome gift for someone that wanted to get into electrical work. I’m glad I got this gift for myself.

This is actually an amazing soldering set! I got this for my husband who does quite a bit of tech work on stuff and his previous one has been going out so this has been a great replacement for him! He said it works better than his old one does at a fraction of the cost! This has a very nice and handy design and he said if you are familiar with what you are doing it takes no time to get the hang of using it. He said it's very user friendly and super easy to use. Everything is well labeled and the instruction manual is good! This heats up super quick and definitely gets hot enough to get the job done! Definitely an awesome value for your money and quality alone! Very impressed and we 100% recommend

The hot tweezers are very nice because they're short enough as to allow me to grab very precisely. A lot of other hot tweezers are very long and make it hard to be as precise.Both the hot tweezers and the iron heat up extremely quickly. As soon as I pull them off the base, I can start melting solder.The calibration is easy and painless. I just drop the iron on the probe and hit a button. It takes about 5 seconds and then reports back. That's especially important for the hot tweezers, as I can make sure that both sides are at the exact same temperature. That way I know I'm not heating up a component unevenly.The menu is easy to navigate, and the whole station is a pleasure to use.Overall a fantastic station.Highly recommended.
