Was an unwanted gift. Did not use

So if ypu put hardback on bottom it looks a little ugly but paperback books is stunning. Easy to assemble easy to put the books in and makes my reading nook just about perfect. I'll be buying more and would definitely suggest them to anyone interested. I love the darker look it doesn't look fake or washed out or diy'ish. It looks wellmade and feels wellmade and has impressed me

I used the screws and the plastic holder for the screws but they are not holding the shelf close to the wall

This is such a neat way to display cool books. I have an entire collection of vintage covered books that look fantastic on this display. Excellent!

This clever idea has doubled my book storage in a room that has limited storage space.The wood shelves themselves are a nice thickness with a lovely grain. They are sturdy and look great, not cheap.The elastic bands are wide and a good thickness, not too stretchy so you know they won't sag after a short time. I've put smaller, thinner hardbacks and larger paperbacks to keep the look uniform and the weight not overwhelming.The shelf that has slightly heavier books hanging has collectibles on the shelf while the other shelf has books hanging and on the shelf, mindful of the weight limit. Very pleasing to the eye despite the oddity of "floating" books.The books are not ones I "reference" or grab often, just ones I have read already and can't bear to part with or that I know I will consult down the line. The elastic straps are not awkward to get a book in and out of but not easy like sliding on/off a shelf, either, which is why I chose to store books I won't be grabbing on the regular.The hardware included is all very good, strong quality and were perfect for mounting the shelves with or without studs to screw into. I'm confident these will stay up, no issues.Once I'm sure I really like the floating book look, I'm thinking I will get more of these! Twice the book space!

These are perfect for a NYC apartment or anywhere space is short. You add your display on top and books on the bottom. Paperbacks don’t seem to hang as perfectly vertical but still look good and create lots of conversation.
