We bought these traps to use in our chicken area because traditional traps are unsafe for the chickens. It took a few days, but now we are catching rats every night. We caught four last night. They are very easy to set and safe to put right out in the chicken run. I would recommend these to anyone who has a rat or mouse problem. Made a very sturdy plastic. You also don't have to touch the rat to take it out of the trap. Very good product.

I would highly recommend this as I got the large units to deal with the packrats. With the old traps, I would normally see the rat/mouse caught in the trap, with this unit, I don’t see them but I know they’re dead and just lift the lever to drop the carcass out without having to ear gloves.

Work good, but is small for larger rates to enter.

They work but it says pet friendly… I had mine outside and had some bricks kinda barricaded around it!! It did get some rats but it also got some paws from one of my visiting critters or a neighbor cat!! I consider my critters raccoons and possums my friends as they also control not only the rats and mice but also the copperheads… so I find it to be false advertising if a pet can lose a paw in the dang trap

They work like a charm. Very safe and easy to fill the bait.

Great product. However, half of the traps were defective. I suggest you spend the money to buy the original brand item.

The best rat trap ever. I tried alot and this is a winner,easy to set and empty.

I have been using battery charged rat zappers for years. THIS is my new go to for mice and rats. I put the peanut butter in the provided bait cup (accessed on the bottom side of the trap), placed the trap along the wall my trail cam caught mouse traveling along). It took less than 12 hours for the mouse to access the trap. The very sensitive spring plate inside the trap was tripped quickly. To me, this is the more humane rodent control due to the quickness of activation and dispatch.No more batteries to buy or electricity usage. No more need to worry about touching the rodent to dispose of, simply press the spring loaded external handle and tilt the trap into the trash. This is a less expensive way of controlling rodents inside and outside the home (you can't do that with zappers).
