AT3600L Magnetic Cartridge Record Player Cartridge Pure Sound Moving Magnet Phonograph Cartridge

This little AT3600L knock-off is pretty dam good. At first it skipped a little as the tracking force was too light and the anti-skating feature on my cheap turntable, (that I almost threw away), is not adjustable. I tested the sound and the tracking with gradually more weight until I achieve a pretty good tracking force of 2.90 grams and left it like that. To my surprise, the sound has improved every day. I guess it also needs a break-in period to sound its best. I added a cork matt, and I am very happy with the sound quality this little cartridge is producing.

Bought two of them, on worked, and one was full of distortion. I would skip these and just pay for the VM95 at just under $50 at the time of this review.

Universal screws were a good touch.

This is a low compliance cartridge and can be ran with a high tracking force. This old pioneer has a heavy arm and needs high tracking force to run properly. I was running a 2M blue on this table set at 1.8 tracking force but it would track correctly on this table. If I increased the track force to 3 or 3.5 it would have soon collapsed the suspension on the stylus. I'm running this cartridge at a tracking force of 3 and it runs smooth as butter and sounds amazing. If you need a low compliance cartridge I would start here.

It works with my Technics turntable.

I mounted this on a dual 1211 turntable, with the correct alignment protractor tool. Upon playing the record with stylus weight at 2.75 grams, the cantilever would not allow the tip to track inwardly. It's stiffness forced me to move the stylus tracking weight to almost 4 grams before proper tracking..

It did not fit my Sony Turn table. Poor quality sound
