We own a small business. A few weeks ago, we decided it was time to divest of old, previous years of receipts, documentation, and old tax reporting we are no longer required to keep. Like 15 years worth. I had called a few shredding companies, but the cost was too high for us. We realized that investing in a shredder would be more cost effective not only for now but for coming years.This machine FAR exceeded our expections and the other reviewer's comments are spot-o. Great deal, and a great machine, 5 stars all the way.

This thing shreds through paper like crazy. I had a ton of old paperwork to shred and this thing went through it without jamming or overheating. Granted, I didn't try to put more sheets in than it could handle but it performed amazingly! Great for home or a small business!

This is without a doubt the best personal paper shredder I’ve ever used. Probably shredded over a thousand pages in one sitting and it didn’t jam or overheat once. Highly recommend!

The shredder is much quieter than my old 4-page fellowes shredder. I love that it didn't disturb anyone else when I was shredding. This review is day two of ownership.It’s a workhorse. I shredded enough paper to fill a 13 gal kitchen bag in three sittings over four hours. The breaks were for me, not the machine. It never reached overheat mode. It was maybe 5 full bins (sorry forget to pay close attn to that).The full bin sensor does come on slightly early. Can wiggle the machine around to shift the bits to the back away from the teeth and can manage more shredding before it really needs emptying. I destroyed a dvd, a credit card, folded bills (with correct thickness of course, a few postit clumps, some plastic windowed envelopes, some cardstock, and a whole lor of paper in diffferent thicknesses. I may have gotten a staple or two but for my purposes avoided stockpuling paper with those on..The 4 stars is for the flimsy and awkward bin. It was not hard to pull out and put back. But shape made it a bit of gymnastics to keep from ripping the bag or spilling cobtents. Id ha preferred an insert bin with a door to access it and pull it out for emptying.

Bought this shredder based on reviews after having two different shredders bought at a big box store fail over the course of a few years. This shredder is far quieter, far more powerful, shreds into far smaller pieces, and is better built than the others that failed on me. I expect this shredder to give years of trouble free paper destruction.

I got this to replace an older Fellow's shredder. The old shredder worked fine, but was a crisscross that didn't create as small of pieces as I would have liked for security. I got this for the micro shredding and also because it can shred credit cards. So far it's worked great! Shreds things very well. And is actually considerably quieter and smoother sounding than my older shredder.

We've had many different paper shredders throughout the years, and now that we are living in an apartment, we needed a shredder that was on the quiet side. After reading many reviews about paper shredders, we decided to try the Aurora shredder. It has been, by far, the best we've owned. It is used very often, and even at night, no one else can hear it. Highly recommend it if you live in a complex!
